Rocks by Aerosmith

i am just not into it

The Modern Dance by Pere Ubu

WHY did it open like that?? i almost took out my right earbud. i can't listen to the rest of this album, that gave me the beginnings of a migraine.

The Sounds Of India by Ravi Shankar
Nov 27 2025

i had fun listening to it on way home to syracuse for thanksgiving. a change of pace. i think i liked the songs that autogenerated afterwards better because they had a bit more of a clear melody lol. i really liked the microtones play with the sitar and had fun thinking about how many worlds there are and how nothing is a universal language. it also is fun to rate this as an album because transformed into immutable mobile it is no longer merely an authentic rendition of indian music. so which standards of album am i supposed to use in my rating?

Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Nov 28 2025

i liked more than anticipated. it was easy background listening while driving around in the snow.

Dookie by Green Day
Nov 29 2025

this was a lot of fun to listen to. goktug described rock as sex drugs sleeping around and punk as fuck the system. that was helpful for an illiterate like me. they were happy i liked green day. i think the energy is fun though it’s a bit claustrophobic blasting it in the car, maybe only because im still uncomfy in my skin!

good kid, m.A.A.d city by Kendrick Lamar
Nov 30 2025

this was so good i really enjoyed. my favorite was when he said my life i want money and power and sydney said that's in a lot of anime edits.

Grace by Jeff Buckley
Dec 01 2025

really loved this, wish i had gotten a chance to take a bath while listening to it. totally unexpected voice

Arrival by ABBA
Dec 02 2025

catchiest album ever i love it how could i not. goktug says it’s dreamy i think its so ripe for bopping

All Things Must Pass by George Harrison
Dec 03 2025

thoroughly enjoyed. nice companion when alone in nyc.

Suede by Suede
Dec 04 2025

sounds like people don’t like britrock but i enjoyed, i did fall asleep on the way to painted post so could listen again but mostly i feel like i liked it because it was associated with the smiths.

Being There by Wilco
Dec 05 2025

liked some of them, some were really bad

Madman Across The Water by Elton John
Dec 06 2025

I liked it! But maybe i like his other music more. Indian summer was a fun time.

D by White Denim
Dec 07 2025

I like the drums in this album. Goktug says its got prog rock feeling bc intricate solos and intros blends into math rock of very intricate rhythms.

Nilsson Schmilsson by Harry Nilsson
Dec 09 2025

I really enjoyed listening to this, felt instantly familiar, kind of like prototypical jack johnson LOL but definitely less cringe. hated that coconut song i won't like.

Exit Planet Dust by The Chemical Brothers
Dec 10 2025

i guess this was fun to listen to, electronic and mildly entertaining but i didn’t really care at the end of the day

Layla And Other Assorted Love Songs by Derek & The Dominos
Dec 14 2025

from the opening twangs i knew i really didn’t like this. took me so long to get through it 1001 albums marked me as on hiatus

Spiderland by Slint
Dec 17 2025

at first was very disconcerted by how ominous and menacing it all sounds. but came to appreciate all the mumbling and shouting and talking and sometimes singing. i’m not sure when j would be in the mood to listen to this but i think it could create the mood for me

The Age Of The Understatement by The Last Shadow Puppets
Dec 18 2025

has the arctic monkeys melodrama, the bad lyrics, but there are really catchy instrumentals. goktug hates the band name. people describe as arctic monkeys w a 60s mod rock feel

Rocks by Aerosmith
Dec 21 2025

i am just not into it

The Atomic Mr Basie by Count Basie & His Orchestra
Dec 23 2025

very lovely easy listen so refreshing after all that crap

At San Quentin by Johnny Cash
Dec 25 2025

i loved this, maybe country really is my thing. god bless john cash indeed, this was such a cool album and wow when he sang san quentin... so electric.

At Budokan by Cheap Trick
Dec 29 2025

couple of bangers, classic rock and roll i can’t be mad. but lyrics are rather uninspired

Palo Congo by Sabu
Dec 31 2025

honestly not very fun to listen to. feels. well. dated so it’s not fair bc they keep sending me all this iconic stuff without impressing on me its originality

Vespertine by Björk
Jan 02 2026

enjoyed this. i can see how bjork is important to everything i listen to these days lol

Iron Maiden by Iron Maiden
Jan 03 2026

surprised to say i enjoyed this a lot. it reminded me of umm dragonforce thru the fire n the flames :D felt at home as a jjba enjoyer

Private Dancer by Tina Turner
Jan 04 2026

delightful, so classic she’s amazing, but way too long wtf

The Only Ones by The Only Ones
Jan 07 2026

thought was very mid and boring but then i listened to another girl another planet and loved it, another one of those whiny rock stars sounds like velvet underground but spotify described lead peter perrett as raffish & scuzzy so i liked it even more

Cypress Hill by Cypress Hill
Jan 30 2026

hilarious and amazing 5/5

Surrealistic Pillow by Jefferson Airplane
Jan 31 2026

At first found this pretty normal, just like rock once again. But when Grace Slick solos she sounds so androgynous and amazing. I love Somebody to love and White Rabbit. My best friend is a cute song as well. Apparently a classic of 60s psychedelic rock.

Behaviour by Pet Shop Boys
Feb 04 2026

loved it, had a lot of interesting noises and the simple bitchy lyrics were very charming. very echoey and reverby, perfect for my CA driving

Deserter's Songs by Mercury Rev
Feb 06 2026

this was really forgettable. just pretty and sad, somewhat orchestral, there's piano and then some weird high pitched buzzing sounds. i liked goddess on a hiway.

Feb 07 2026

i love queen, and ALMOST all of these songs are so delightful, with the piano and the catchy tunes but there were some epic flops like the one I'm in love with my car which another reviewer has enlightened me to that it was sung by the drummer who locked himself in a cabinet unless he got his way :D i hated it, it was beyond a conventional kind of bad. anyway bohemian rhapsody is on this album

Drunk by Thundercat
Feb 08 2026

this was fun, it reminded me a lot of jacob colliers stuff and honestly a lot of other contemp tbh artists like blood orange’s newest. rnb with a lot of breezy electronic synths and he had some funny lyrics. felt like something substantial was missing though, didn’t feel like there was much to sink into. but great to have on in the car

One World by John Martyn
Feb 11 2026

when i first heard his mumbly old man voice i was really ready to hate this album. but it was actually really beautiful and a weird folksy jazz rock fusion. i still can only pick out one word every hundred. and i don't feel like i will actually be listening to this album anytime soon. but if it were to come on at jazz @ lincoln center i would be happy enough

The Modern Dance by Pere Ubu
Feb 12 2026

WHY did it open like that?? i almost took out my right earbud. i can't listen to the rest of this album, that gave me the beginnings of a migraine.
