1001 Albums Summary

My first time listening to Oasis. I've seen Oasis vs Radiohead convos online and now I can say Radiohead clears. The singer sounds like his he sings with his mouth wide open. Solid album. (Your music's shite/it keeps me up all night)

This album feels like it's almost good. I liked elements of it like the Christian language and metaphors as well as the piano parts but overall didn't love the album. It might grow on me if I listened to it again.

Classic rock album with a sprinkle of country at times. It's an older album but it definitely has the cool factor still. This album (and likely other Eagles music) definitely influenced The Lemon Twigs. Witchy Woman was a great song. Overall I really enjoyed it and would listen to it again.

It's a country album which is not normally my thing but I liked it a lot more than I thought I would. She has a really good voice. It sounds like someone singing who happens to have a country accent as opposed to someone trying to force an accent to fit the vibe of country which I hate. She is also a good storyteller.

This album took me back to the summer of 1966, sitting in a smoky cocktail bar talking to a woman I just met 20 minutes prior like we were childhood best friends while listening to the soul band playing on the stage. Or something like that.

The album cover looks like it's from a found-footage horror movie. I really liked the vibe of this album. It felt a little jazzy and sometimes the beats sounded like they could be for a rap song. It also like it was made in a cold basement. I've heard glory box before.

The description of this album said that this album and Black Sabbath's discography were the first heavy metal albums and helped pioneer the genre. Heavy metal (not the Cameron Winter album) is not normally a genre I choose to listen to but I loved this album. I really enjoyed the anti-war themes and lyrics as the album came out during the Vietnam war. I knew of a few of songs like War Pigs, Paranoid, and Iron Man but the songs that were new to me matched and built upon those songs very well. Overall an absolute banger of an album. R.I.P Ozzy.

Since it's U2 I knew every song from this album. I do like some of the songs but overall U2 is just kind of boring sometimes. This album definitely does have some of their best songs though

This is a genre that I am not a fan of and this album didn't change my opinion on it. I imagine that if you are tapped into this kind of music the songs would song different and unique but to me they sound to similar. I do appreciate the fact I can understand the lyrics compared to screamo (although I didn't really like them) and the drums. I'm giving it a one but it didn't stand a fair chance with me because the style of music it is.

Mainly calm and quiet with very heavy lyrics. The first time I listened to Elliot Smith, I didn't like his voice, but after listening to him a couple more times, it has really grown on me and fits his music really well. This was my second or third time listening to this album.

I guess I'm a Black Sabbath fan. This is the second album by them that I have listened to. The other being Paranoid, which I gave 5 stars. I definitely preferred Paranoid, but I still think this album sneaks in as a 4/5.

I was not expecting a song about a literal gang bang. This dude is a total horn dog.

I can see why people would like this album, but I'm finding it a little boring. I'm not a huge fan of the singer for some reason.
