Overall liked this album! Felt very groovy and loving. Strong message of black power, but I liked that he also included that all of the races are important and that we should work together. Recognized some of the songs as Stevie Wonder, but also noticed the sampling of his music in more recent artist’s work.
Defiant not a lyrically strong album. Mostly beats. It felt like a party album. Reminds me of the 90s. Did not save any songs, and probably would not reach for this album again.
