1001 Albums Summary

Jack White's inventive use of keys and synths made for a whimsical and experimental album that gave me beetles vibes and while many of the lyrics were off-putting was a fine listen.

Horny, some great compositions with jazz, RnB, and folksy influences I really dig. Some really standout pieces, but the pieces like girlfriend really fall flat for me. Cool album!

Güd. Succinct and real criticisms of society wrapped up in a tasty audible package

Piano felt ham fisted and the vibrato was really hard for me. The content of the songs was very clearly emotional, but the execution for me didn't hit.

A confusing mix of afro beats and pop ballads, but I really dig the instrumentation. Breakfast time was weird as shit with that ragae beat. I probably won't listen to the album as a whole again, but A Million Pleading Faces, Mud on your Eye, and I can't Help Myself will stay in rotation

Liked the second half of the album much more. Love her voice, the vibrophone, and the overall vibe. Wish I wasn't tired listening though, had me snoozin fr 😁

Variety on this album was fun. It was like the roots to all the bands I grew up listening to! Operation Ivy, NOFX, and Rancid as well as 90s and early 2000s ska like streetlight manifesto all echo of this album.

The hits are still fun, but the albulm as a whole lacks energy or staying power for me with Young's flat and repetitive vocals and unexceptionable backing band.
