Dynamic and inspired drumming and guitars (including bass). Enjoyed the style of vocals Reminiscent to me of new wave and post-punk but with more technicality that you'd expect from prog rock. My only negative thought is that it feels like the last track ends abruptly, both in how Vital Signs feels like it cuts out and that moving pictures as an album felt like it had more to tell. I was surprised how much I enjoyed this album overall, I've never given prog rock a proper listen but Moving Pictures by Rush may inspire me to listen to more.

This album just didn't click for me, however I still appreciated the moody, sparse instrumentation which made pleasant listening in the early morning hours. The vocal style of Leonard Cohen did grow on me over the course of the album, reminds me of Nick Cave who other than in The Birthday Party I have never been much a fan of. Favorite Track: Steer Your Way - The prominent violin and supporting vocals made this the most inspiring and engaging listen.
