1001 Albums Summary

I like David Bowie. I am glad I listened to this, but I probably won’t listen in full again.

What a fun surprise. This album makes me want to buy a record player so I can listen on vinyl. I love that her voice isn’t “good” as much as passionate.

I am not a man in a muscle tee wanting to drive a fast car; thus, I found this boring. Stop your sobbing was cool though. Kid is great. Brass in Pocket was the single I’d heard before, and it’s obviously a fun one. The last half of this album was much better than the first.

Oh what a fun, spirited start! What energy! My kids couldn’t help but dance to this. We had fun. Very good.

Student Demonstration Day — boomers gonna boom?

This was hard for me to get through. Layla is a 5 star song on a 1 star album.

Banger after banger, short and sweet, party music, happy music, would listen again.

Not my cuppa. Appreciated the instruments (impressive drums, guitar) and those were a five for me but couldn’t get past the vocals.

Anything but this.

I spent the whole album wondering why this music reminds me of 2000s Indie music, and then I realized Nick Drake is on the Garden State soundtrack, and it all made sense.

Apparently I am not a metal person.

I think it’s really fun to imagine what it would be like to hear this in 1969. You’re listening to the Beatles, etc., then this comes on. Your parents think you’re crazy. Kids these days!

Somebody explain this one to me because I don’t get it. I also don’t do drugs…so.

It’s Bob Dylan; it’s great. A little long for my taste but enjoyable.

Nice voice; wanted to like this more than I did.

I feel like maybe you had to be there? This was a 2 for my own enjoyment, but I feel like album wise it’s a 3.

This album is straight out of a different place in time. Reminds me of my grandparents. What a time.
