The boss is great - General feel/ sound of all songs on the album is consistent but I did not enjoy many of the songs on this album.
I’ve been looking for something like this. Need to listen to more REM. This album is a good showcase for their sound.
One of my favourite albums - So many good songs on this one and a nice consistent theme that flows all the way through the album.
Great album if in the mood for something with a similar but more metal feel/ less of a ballad compared to iron maiden.
Funky - If David Bowie wrote the soundtrack for Jesus Christ Superstar this would be the result.

4.5 - Essential late night listening for a haunting evening. An amazing album with some great songs (see the Rip). I searched for this album once before when looking for albums with songs that flow into each other.

Late night jet set radio future/ need for speed game 90’s club vibes.
Some of these songs had decent bass lines. Nothing that really grabbed my attention. I dropped a straight razor into my finger halfway through which was fun.
Understand these guys are pioneers of rap and beats, but not a lot of variation on this album.

3.5 - The other music they have playing at Mary’s. Sounds like a cross between Metallica and slayer.
Cants say I wasn’t intrigued by this dirty blues-pirate dawg. Some gems in there, worth searching around the Waits library.
Class Bowie - Fame etc. Flight of the concords would have based their parody on this Bowie.
4.5 - Captures the sound of my teenage years in an album. One of my late night comfort blanket/ calm down albums.
A lot of bangers on this one. The sound of a generation I just missed out on.
