1001 Albums Summary

pre listening: well its the beatles, yknow 1: taxmaaan, love some conscientious tunes. also good way to open an album cheerful, straightforward, etc. 2: iconic lonely people 3: eh fine, only sleeping doesnt stand out to me though 4: The sitar is lovely; the singing ruins it for me tbh. 5: sweet but boring to me at this point in my life. 6: just hype and happy and lively and worth all the smiles 7: yea this is a banger to me. making me feel like ive never been born. 8: I don't know what instrument is hitting that chorus dum dum dum dum but it makes the good day sunshine feel like a morning walk. 9: good but passively enjoyable. 10: Now this makes me tear up. Its heartbreaking and reminds me of my dad...i think it's relatable for a lot of people. 11: Dr. Robert. kinda jarring after the last song 12: Not super interesting to me 13: Reinvigorating after the last two songs. Likeable hype and stuff. 14: An experimental way to close out the album with the promise of some unknown tomorrow. Not a favorite, but appreciated nonetheless.

pre listening: sound familiar but never heard of them i think 1: very 80s 2: like but don’t love. 3: hey i know this song! 4: 5: my kinda music! drums and guitar progression i likey. i also like this periods way of sing talking and inflections. 6: the kind of ballad for the self-loathing lover girl but ehh 7: it doesn't stand out for me 8: i like the littel techno-y funk but its not really interesting 9: mixed up and not quite powerful enough ending.

Pre-listening: don't know much about them. 1: lovely title and captures the theme well 2: Same for this. A sonnet, but edgy like music 3: 4: sad good song. probably will make me tear up 5: a response to the previous song, a good pair catch the butterfly metaphor for drugs? 6: just your run of the mill 90s rock vibe i think 7: similar as #6 i dont think I'm lyrically compelled 8: of course the title adds points to my like and the droopy vibes hit as well 9: i like the opening lyrics, but trails out after this 10: same, great initial lyrics with an easy rhythmic melancholy that matches. 11: this time. lyrics continue to have the same texture as the last 3 songs. Melancholy dull hope? 12: nice but almost wish this was the last song 13: Come On is on the rock-ier end, lots of good drums, lyricially uncomplicated. Deep Freeze hidden track ok.

Pre listening: love me some Smashing Pumpkins so Im excited to see what this album is like 1: consider me gagged at how gentle this first song is. Staying with the Piano so long is giving me melancholy which really sets the stage 2: soft still but more familiar rock 3: the ramp up expected of smashing pumpkins

Band sounds familiar but.... NEUROTIC YES THAT DESCRIBES THEM SO PERFECT 1: OMG YES. the strung out anxious high happy too much song. love it 2: how have i not listened to this full album before? awesome 3: 4: 5: hmmm im meh 6: missed it. started sweet but then eh 7: I like this tho 8: funky arrythmic 9: i do really like this song 10: good feeling song :)

Idk dude it's not my flavor of music exactly but its also fascinating as fuck and messy and beautiful and meanigful exactly like punk rock music should be and im fascinated and grateful to have been exposed to the album.

Pre-listening: I love the album, not a fan of the band's name, but I love the album title. Timeline-wise, this is the most recent era, newer than what I've previously listened to. Looks like I would like it 1: Krill. 2: Now this woke me up, love the alarm. The "uh-uh-uh" to alarm repetition-it scratches an itch in my brain. headbanger of song 10: cool 11: intense but cool

pre-listening: I know nothing about these dudes but i love the 2nd middle guys look and vibe. they are all so tall and awkward looking. 1: HEY HO BLIITZKRIEG BOP

pre listening: Velvet Underground!! fuckin uhhh reference to Good Omens for me chief. not sure im famiulaur with music tho... 1: reminds me of the feeling I get listening to Fruits Basket opening idk 4: stood out to me while listening passively 9: discordant in an unfortunately unpleasant way 10: pulled back in to enjoyiment, soft immature and feminine in the way that is awkward and lovely. felt like it really spoke to me.
