I thoroughly enjoyed the album's instrumentals, but the lyrics felt overly bland, and the lead singer had the same flow for most of the tracks. Listening to this album, I felt as though this was a softer, female-led Nirvana, trying rock instrumentals of different intensities with a lack of depth in the lyrics and singing. Overall, 2/5.

Funeral by Arcade Fire

5/10, it was okay and fit the vibe of the day, but I didn't find the singer to be especially talented. I can definitely hear the influence this album had on alt-rock and surfer rock from the late 2010s, early 2020s, which I thought was quite cool, but I would not seek out this album to listen to by choice.

Remain In Light by Talking Heads
Mar 20 2026

Thoroughly enjoyed, had a very groovy sound and really enjoyed the singing. The album art is super cool

From Elvis In Memphis by Elvis Presley

Loved every song. In the Ghetto has been one of my favourite Elvis tracks since I was a young kid, so relistening to this album felt nostalgic.

Shaft by Isaac Hayes
Mar 22 2026

Very enjoyable sound, love blues!

KIWANUKA by Michael Kiwanuka
Mar 23 2026

By far my best album so far. Deep, rich sound that made me feel the music. I have never heard of this album prior, and I foresee it being a staple in my summer listening.

Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness by The Smashing Pumpkins
Mar 24 2026

The album was good, with great vocals, and I enjoyed the guitar. Some lyrics felt a little too experimental for me, but I understand why other people like it.

Hejira by Joni Mitchell
Mar 25 2026

Did not enjoy, annoying voice

Little Earthquakes by Tori Amos
Mar 27 2026

Not the biggest fan, Leather was definitely my favourite on the album, but a lot of the lyrics in other songs just didn't quite connect for me. I did enjoy the instrumentals and she had a lovely voice, just a disconnect in lyrics.

Getz/Gilberto by Stan Getz

Very groovy summery vibes, very much enjoyed. 4/5. Definitely an album for the kitchen, early morning or late at night, hits the spot.

Songs Of Leonard Cohen by Leonard Cohen
Mar 29 2026

Enjoyable and very peaceful, solid listen but would not sought it out.

Channel Orange by Frank Ocean
Mar 31 2026

One of my favourite albums of all time, thuroughly enjoyed the vocals and the production and found peace in many of the songs lyrics.

Head Hunters by Herbie Hancock
Apr 01 2026

All of these were absolute bangers. Very groovy, very upbeat, reminded me of the movie Soul/Whiplash. While it is not something that I would seek out to put on, I would not be in a rush to turn it off either.

m b v by My Bloody Valentine

I enjoyed the vocals and the guitars a little bit, but a lot of the album just felt like noise for the sake of noise...

Very groovy, I have heard this album before, and I love the instrumentals. It is not my favourite OutKast album, though there are some amazing songs on the album. That said, and it could have just been the headspace I was in today, but the songs on this album do sometimes feel like there is too much going on at once and I prefer their calmer music, as it is easier to follow the lyrics.

Surfer Rosa by Pixies
Apr 07 2026

Not sure who let him sing... were all the other instruments taken? I think Fight Club edits containing Where Is My Mind is about enough of the Pixies I will ever need to listen to again.

Basket of Light by Pentangle
Apr 08 2026

I really enjoyed this album. I listened to it on one of the first warm and sunny days of the year, and it just felt right. The instrumentals have some cool little riffs and dont just feel like 4 open chords playing on loop, and the singers voice was beautiful.

Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath

This album was unreal... Wicked. The guitar was absolutely shredding, the vocals were crisp, and the drummer was very talented. I enjoyed this listen very much!
