It was fine. I guess.

There's some great music in here, the title track for one, but as a whole it just does not have even close to the same emotional resonance that Pet Sounds has for me. Maybe it's unfair to compare this to one of the most beautiful moving albums of all time but this is my review and they are both Beach Boys albums so here we are. Also A Day in the Life of a Tree sucks and I do not like it at all.

If only modern chasers were this musically talented

So British it hurts, more talking than singing, and each song is far too long. The entire time I felt like Tim Heidecker at the opera. No more bullshit!

It's alright, some good stuff but I can't see myself coming back to it

The variety is nice, not really a genre I've ever listened to

My father-in-law is a musician. He is insanely gifted. We were listening to Steely Dan together years ago and I asked him why no one makes music like that anymore. I will never forget his answer... "We can't, we don't know how to do it."

I actually quite like some of the songs here, Synchronicity I & II, Every Breath You Take, hell I even enjoyed Mother. The other songs range from boring to fine though and drag the album down.

It takes a lot for a country record to entice me and this doesn't have it

Dudes will listen to this and say "Hell yeah" I'm dudes

Decent first album, their later work is where R.E.M. really shines though

With 20 songs you're gonna have a few misses but there are a lot of hits. Even on the lesser tracks Christina's vocals shine. Trim some of the fat and work out some of the iffier production choices and you've got a phenomenal pop record.

The Who is alright I like some of their stuff but live albums really need to justify their existence and this one just does not

Savoir Faire is the best song on the album by far and it is nothing like the rest of the album

Impeccable atmosphere and scene setting on each song. I especially loved how on Locomotive Breath the instrumental mimics the chugging of a train. Super super cool.

Boring instrumentals, nothing lyrics, and far too long. The only thing Hüsker Dü is put me to sleep.

Absolutely masterful production and sample work

I quite enjoyed the instrumentals. The vocals were not as appealing to me unfortunately. Overall I had a nice time listening to the album.

Absolutely loved the instrumentals and how the album switched between English and Punjabi songs. Delightful listen. Also great cover of my favorite Beatles song.

A masterpiece honestly. Phenomenal storytelling and songwriting that's funny, relatable, and just sounds damn good. Everything just works. The concept is so fascinating and I've never seen anything done like it before.

Nothing groundbreaking or particularly unique. I just really really enjoy just about everything on the album. I grew up on R.E.M. as they are one of my mom's favorites so they are a huge comfort band to me.
