1001 Albums Summary

not surprising it's a good album - hard to find a bad one in Beatles catalogue. Songs to dance to, songs to say I love you for the millionth time to and one weird jealousy song. I guess it's an artifact of an era, but still threw me off guard. Definitely will be coming back to this one on certain occasions, however I know those occasions will be rare.

I'm definitely not gonna be a Sade fan, but happy to discover here more than ever before. I don't feel that CLASSIC quality, but the second half finally feels like something.

Vibey. Icon. Makes me slowly move in a weird way. Overall great stuff, not my everyday type of stuff, but definitely will be coming back to this on evening walks or putting it in background of lowly lit cooking with someone.

Didn't really find anything about this album that would make me interested or want to come back to this one. As much as I hate to admit it, everything he's done on the record, has been done better than other people (probably inspired by him) since.

What an absolutely amazing album. When it came out, I was a teenager obsessed with Bowie - this album coming out right as he passed away made me put off listening to it for 10 years. I knew it was sad, I knew it will be very emotional and I guess I just never found the courage to face the fact of one of the greatest artist to ever live, passing. That said, I'm thankful that it was included here and made me listen to it. It definitely was everything I thought it could be and so much more. David Bowie is not a controversy seeking (or just being himself) artist anymore here - he's an older man who has seen everything and shares what that everything gave him. You can't expect his voice to be so high, raspy, crazy as it was on the earlier stages of his career, but it doesn't have to be. He's soothing, he lures you into his world and, I'm sure, a visit there will change yours with every listen.

Never really heard any Stones album - I like it. Sounds like everything complements other parts really well, from vocals to guitars to drums. I just don't feel like there's much to say about it - good formula done well.

Was surprised to find an album I didn't even hear about here. Well, it didn't turn out to be a hidden gem for me.

Album to get ready to go out on a Friday night to, as well as album to spend a nice Saturday morning to. FUN

It's a good album, a bit dated, but the energy radiates through the speakers. I feel like I'll be not returning to this one, because I'm too white and European though.

Did not expect this from Bee Gees - came in looking for some disco, was pleasantly surprised to hear some alright baroque pop (?). Not bad, not great - might revisit.

I like it, feels very 80s and that's not a bad thing. I imagine going through the city with this on headphones, feeling like in an intro to some movie.

Ever since starting listening to this album I felt like I was listening to something important. Of course I knew the singles, but the album feels really cohesive and I really liked it.

DJ Max music - ok for me, ok for work, wouldn't recommend to anyone I know.

Classic

I truly love this album, don't wanna get into cliches, but it really changed how I viewed music when I was like 16. The repetitiveness isn't a flaw, it's a tool and it's effective

I understand the comparisons to Beatles now; I would say it has worse, cleaner vocals, worse arrangements, but overall it would end up somewhere in the middle of the Beatles discography - it's consistent and just clicks. Great background, driving music.

boooring don't know how to explain it, but it's the kind of an album that gets stuck in your car - you get used to it, you may like it or consider important to you, but it would never happen if you weren't stuck with it by force

Got this album right after listening to Calenture by The Triffids and wow, those are just two ends of a spectrum. Never thought otherwise, but comparing one overproduced, painfully boring album with this one is a car vs train situation. It's easily one of Bob Dylan's best, everything just flows and he has this ease of grabbing your attention. Great stuff.

I really like Madonna, but this isn't it; especially compared to her other works of different genres.

great album, nothing I'll write here will say anything that wasn't already said about it. 2 points: - yellow submarine is by far the worst - peaks with tomorrow never knows at the end

didn't really find anything interesting about this album, but I'm not a trip hop fan and I mostly heard only classics of this genre, which in comparison are way way better

Way better than I expected - out of all pop albums of early 2000s, I think I'll be coming back to this one. Great vocals, interesting beats, the only thing I don't like about this one are the ballads, but they sell.

Great album, never would have listened to it on my own, but it kept me engaged all the way through.

fun, captivating album. Feels like cigarettes in the morning in the new city, when you're stressed about the job, but don't have your laptop with you so there's nothing to do about it other than chill.

not great, but better than I expected it to be. Fun arrangements, good vocals - I can see why people like it back then, I wouldn't listen to it though.

tbh more boring than the coldplay album; not terrible, but sooo boring

ok album, didn't really wanted to go much into the lyrics which I assume should be the strongest point here, so I'm leaving kind of neutral score. The sound itself is good enough to make me leave it in my library.

that was awesome, raw, lyrical and most importantly, sounds beautifully raw. One of the greats.
