1001 Albums Summary

I've heard some of the songs from this album before, so I enjoyed listening to the full thing for once. I tossed in Silver Springs to my queue right after, as I think it's at least spiritually part of this album.

Our Lips Are Sealed and We Got the Beat are iconic. Very fun and upbeat album.

This has been my absolute favorite listen so far. I love the baroque, psychedelic vibes so much. This album is now on my vinyl wish list for sure.

I’m not really the target audience for this album, and I have some issues with aspects of its political messaging. Still, I’d be foolish not to acknowledge the sheer quality of the music and the impact of the Wu‑Tang Clan as a whole. The Shogun Assassin samples are used brilliantly. While it’s not exactly my cup of tea, I fully understand why this is considered an essential listen.
