The Bends by Radiohead
Mar 27 2026

I listened to OK Computer a long time ago, but I never heard this one. This guy's vocals take some getting used to, so I see why people say he sounds like a whiney college kid. On the other hand, my ears loved the guitar tones and overall instrumentation on most of these songs. I agree with the hivemind that this is a solid 4/5.

London Calling by The Clash
Mar 28 2026

- I knew this was a early punk classic, but never listened to it in full. - Lots of things going on here. Influences from all kinds of other genres. - American Punk > British Punk in my biased opinion as a huge Ramones fan, but still an awesome record!

Led Zeppelin IV by Led Zeppelin
Mar 29 2026

Do you really need me to glaze this album? Do you have functioning ears? Easy 5/5. If you think otherwise, I'm sorry your dad didn't raise you on rock n' roll. Side Note: The first time I ate Magic Mushrooms, I put The Song Remains the Same on the TV and cranked the volume to max and had an AMAZING time. 10/10 would trip again.

Back To Black by Amy Winehouse
Mar 30 2026

This was my first foray into Amy's material. I didn't get the hype, but I'm glad I can say that I gave it a fair chance.

Different Class by Pulp
Mar 31 2026

- Never heard of this band before; finally a blank slate! They got my attention from the first note with synths and fuzz that tickle my ear drums. Full of poppy energy and weird sexual tension. This list is showing me that I don’t really know shit about British Music outside of Punk and New Wave of British Heavy Metal.

Madman Across The Water by Elton John
Apr 01 2026

Yep, that's an Elton John record, alright. While I can't deny his musical talent, his music is like background noise and easy listening to me, at best. I enjoy the forwardness of the piano and the heavy influence of gospel on this record, but I feel like a lot of the songs overstay their welcome. A nice change of pace, but nothing I would purchase on vinyl.

Dry by PJ Harvey
Apr 02 2026

Yep, that was something. A couple of good riffs, but boring as hell otherwise. If waking up hungover with the shakes was a record.

Brown Sugar by D'Angelo
Apr 03 2026

- I agree with another reviewer who said, "This album fucks." - Undeniable cornerstone of R&B and I love this buttery smooth instrumentation. And MAN can this guy sing.

Tracy Chapman by Tracy Chapman
Apr 04 2026

Man, what a great album. I enjoyed every second of this. From the lyrics, to the instrumentation, to the overall feel; this guy sings from the soul.

Antichrist Superstar by Marilyn Manson
Apr 05 2026

Man, this sounded a lot better when I was 14 years old and full of bitterness towards the world. Just doesn't hit the same as an optimistic 20-something. God lives rent free in Marilyn Manson and Glenn Benton's heads.

The Idiot by Iggy Pop
Apr 06 2026

It's Iggy Pop, you either love him or you hate him. I prefer his work with The Stooges over his solo work, but this album sonically slaps.

Let It Bleed by The Rolling Stones
Apr 07 2026

Groovy, dude. To say this album is a two-hit wonder is a little harsh. Listen to those riffs and piano. Solid record!

Soul Mining by The The
Apr 08 2026

Interesting soundscapes but I don't think I "get" New Wave.
