I mean what more is there to say.
Just listen to it.
The song YYZ has morse code in its instrumental that spells out ‘YYZ’ which is the identifier for Toronto International Airport.
Pretty much sums up the quality from the rest of the album.
Carried hard by the main 3 the people know
But still synthy and beautiful.
Ain’t no way that fucker is blind
Magical af album.
Go watch South Park season 1 episode 12 to tell you all you need to know.
Not a lot I would come back to on this one. Long tall sally is always a great listen though.
I think little Richard should stop being little and become big like the rest of us.
Not a major fan and got bored.
So much has been done with the genre since this, that this can be hard to come back to. Lyrics that are cliche by todays standard but the backing beats definitely carry them.
Hasn't aged well for a first time listener, but can appreciate the influence it has had on the genre and artists since its' release.
Timeless album.
The three track run of Aint Nuthin, C.R.E.A.M and Method Man alone makes this a 5
Can bump this anytime, even 17:21.
Didn’t give this a proper listen but went through the whole album.
Was pretty generic 80s rock to me some decent songs
Glam rock through and through.
Not a bad album and definitely has some highlights.
I don’t think a deaf leopard would enjoy this very much though
I think the best way I can sum this up is it feels like Fifa music.
Now that can either be a compliment or an insult. That's how this album feels. It has elements I like but then loses me immediately.
As a whole album, no I didn't enjoy this. I've heard this style done better by other artists of the time and maybe that's why their songs remain in playlists you see for the decade. There are some songs that are good but nothing that sticks for me.
The whole thing feels forgettable to listen to, but nothing I would stand up to turn off. Not quite 1 material.
Also I hate the album cover and name it sucks.
This was pretty good, Isaac has a great voice makes it easy to forget how long some of the tracks are.
Someone pointed out he’s chef from South Park and that only made the album better.
Didn’t properly listen but what I heard was decent.
Always groovy and different with David so appreciated that on this album wouldn’t say it’s their best tho.
Didn’t make my whole way through.
The songs I did listen to were pretty stinking.
One of them sounded like a transition tune in always sunny or something
This was fine or whatever, not something you MUST listen, especially when Supertramp has a better album out there.
It's fine for one listen thorugh but wouldn't dive in again any time soon.
Just a fun album all around.
Debbie Harry has a voice unmatched and the whole band has this upbeat style even on the more mellow tunes. It's like if you took a band from the 50s and evolved it even more.
Worth a listen with some obvious highlights would gladly listen through again.
Also being mogged off on the cover.
Pretty good very mellow but a needed chill album.
Great voice as expected and a couple of notable songs but the album as a whole is a pleasant listen through.
Great vibes some very different sounds from the beach boys, normally they just make pet sounds.
Would gladly listen to this again saved a few highlights.
Did not rate this one. I understand this style of music exists but sometimes it just fucks me right off.
I would get up to destroy the speaker it's playing from.
Was pretty average overall never finished it
This runs long.
It has some good songs on it tho I don’t think you need to listen to the whole thing tho you get some bangers on the first side alone.
Very average album but the known bangers at the start.
Eddie Van Halen has a great voice tho that makes it an enjoyable listen.
Insufferable prick that really made my ears ring half way through.
The first few songs definitely hit and are good then the rest is a slog, fuck this album.
What a great experience. Felt like I was falling through a tunnel on a journey.
Super easy listen and for the time something very different. Need to be chilling watching the world go by with this one, leaves you with your thoughts.
Fun synthy album you would only get with Depech Mode. Two absolute bangers in here and a few less known ones.
Overall a great time imo. This is music to walk harshly to.
Liked this more than the previous talking heads but there’s a lot of snores on this.
A couple standout and it was an easy listen because David Byrne and co are great but not sure I’d jump to go back to it
Very fun album and represents the indie scene of the 2000s well.
Julian Casablancas has an iconic voice and the rest of the band compliments it well.
Great time.
Trying to listen to this in an office on a quiet day really wasn't the vibe.
Normally don't mind some heavier stuff but that took me out of it.
Pretty run of the mill country album.
Definitely a few songs I would put on in the background but nothing I think I’d sing along to or that.
Harmless album not a must listen tho.
