1001 Albums Summary

Still love this album as much as I did when I first heard it at 14. The guitar solo for "Elevation" is one of the greatest sections of music ever.

I remember liking this album quite a bit in high school, so I was kinda shocked by how whelmed I was listening to it again. It's a quick runtime that felt bloated still and it didn't seem to have much the cleverness of their earlier singles and albums.

Pretty front-loaded. Second half just felt less compelling to listen through compared to the first.

This was such a good listen. I'm glad to have finally listened to this beginning to end. The instrumentals were so jazzy and dreamy. It's amazing how Kendrick was able to weave in and out of them and make it sound so easy.

Though I prefer the two Peter Gabriel albums that preceded this one, this is probably his most cohesive album. It's like being wrapped in a warm blanket with hot chocolate.

I kind of hate how much I like this album.
