1001 Albums Summary

It was cool to listen to such a classic in its entirety. I’ve heard snippets throughout the years, but it’s nice to hear them in context. That being said I don’t know if I would ever muster the internal motivation to relisten to this. It’s not exactly to my taste, though I do recognize it sounds great and has had a massive impact on culture. Iron Man basically sounds like a lullaby how recognizable the chorus is, but I would much sooner put on the Cardigan’s cover of Iron Man than the original.

Loved this album for years! Also surprised it came out in 1983, these guys were really doing it. Not every song hits, but there’s soooo many hits

The classics don’t reallake up for the rapey songs imo. Not for me.

Was convinced this album wasn’t for me, but came around to it with the bonus tracks in the second half. Would probably still prefer to listen to The Magnetic Fields…

I really liked one song and the rest was inoffensive to me👍

Standout tracks: someone great, all my friends, us v them, sound of silver

Some parts are listenable, but every bit of this album is missing something for me…
