Let It Bleed by The Rolling Stones
Jul 13 2026

I’ve always liked the song Gimme Shelter, but it definitely hits different now being an adult aware of how easily war and crisis can happen. I don’t love the guitar being in only my left ear at the beginning of Love In Vain. The sound and Mick Jagger’s voice remind me of Violent Femmes though which is fun. Too slow/boring of a song for me though. Country Honk was fine I guess. I enjoyed the guitars being split in Live with Me. I did not care for the lyrics though. Oh god, I don’t really like the lyrics to Let It Bleed. Midnight Gambler was fun, but I don’t think I’d seek it out. I enjoyed You Got the Silver. Monkey Man was mid. Absolutely love You Can’t Always Get What You Want but really wish the acoustic guitar was in both ears. I’m sure I wouldn’t mind as much on speakers.

Seventeen Seconds by The Cure
Jul 14 2026

A Reflection was fine especially considering it is an intro. I like the guitars in Play for Today, but I don’t care for the smash/whip sounds or the lyrics. Secrets was okay, but not too exciting. I liked In Your house musically, but not lyrically. Three was weird but cool. The Final Sound was spooky lol but just an interlude of sorts. A Forest has such great movement and buildup. I really enjoyed the guitars on M. Love the bass in At Night. Seventeen Seconds was okay. Just slow like most of the songs on the record.

Sunday At The Village Vanguard by Bill Evans Trio
Jul 15 2026

This sounds great so far. I can’t believe this is a live recording. Overall very nice, interesting that multiple takes of the same songs are on here though.

Pearl by Janis Joplin
Jul 17 2026

High energy start, god she was so talented Cry Baby pulls at my heart and did in fact make me cry I’ve loved Mercedes Benz since I was a kid :) I didn’t realize how much she didn’t write but I don’t care, still incredible.

I Should Coco by Supergrass
Jul 20 2026

It was okay. Kind of a rollercoaster on deciding if I like it or not. Definitely unsure about the lyrics in We’re Not Supposed To. Cool punk and 80s/90s sound overall though.

Stardust by Willie Nelson
Jul 21 2026

Very slow, but beautiful. This particular type of music isn’t really for me, but I do love Willie Nelson.

Deja Vu by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
Jul 22 2026

I ended up liking this more than I thought I would, but I don’t think I’ll go seek it out regularly.

The Libertines by The Libertines
Jul 23 2026

I need to listen again to really take it in, but it wasn’t bad overall.

To Pimp A Butterfly by Kendrick Lamar
Jul 27 2026

This album is phenomenal. It will go down in history as an incredible work of art. The poetry, jazz, flows, and messages are entangled so well.

Figure 8 by Elliott Smith
Jul 28 2026

Couldn’t listen to it all the way through just yet because I was working and it was a bit too sad :( especially knowing what happened. but beautiful music.

Ready To Die by The Notorious B.I.G.
Jul 29 2026

Definitely a historically significant album with some incredible songs, but also a lot of skipping through.

KIWANUKA by Michael Kiwanuka
Jul 30 2026

I really enjoyed this album and want to revisit it with more focus.

Hard Again by Muddy Waters
Jul 31 2026

It was nice for sure but didn’t completely pull my attention.

Hot Rats by Frank Zappa
Aug 03 2026

I’ll have to revisit this one maybe with different headphones because there were a lot of noises/frequencies that were just kind of hurting my ears. But I loved the idea of what I was hearing.

Power In Numbers by Jurassic 5
Aug 04 2026

This was nice. Reminded me of MF doom a little bit.

Remedy by Basement Jaxx
Aug 05 2026

Good background music at work but likely not something I’m going to listen to again. It was a bit mid compared to other electronic music out there.

evermore by Taylor Swift
Aug 06 2026

I really do love this album. While it isn’t her best one, it is up there in the top 5.

Kid A by Radiohead
Aug 07 2026

Didn’t finish the album but it wasn’t bad. I liked what I heard but wasn’t blown away.

Reggatta De Blanc by The Police
Aug 11 2026

Yea, it’s white guy reggae. And very repetitive.

Trout Mask Replica by Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band
Aug 12 2026

Super fuckin weird but I liked it l the listening experience overall. I had heard this album once before because my grandpa owned it on vinyl and it was passed down to me. It was quite a trip to actually sit down and listen to it. Probably won’t seek it out much though.
