Odessa by Bee Gees
Aug 06 2026

This is just kind of strange and probably unfortunately too long for me to connect with, and the Bee Gees turn to disco at some point precedes my ability to come to this album with an open mind. My usual interpretation of such tonal shifts, absent a change in personnel, is that the work of a group before settling into their final commercial mode, is going to be lesser. This isn't necessarily a bad album, but it seems pretty overwrought.

Tuneful but to be honest it's super hard to differentiate the songs. Not bad that they all blend but a bit odd as background noise.
