Laid-back grooves, iconic guitar riffs, makes you wanna keep going ๐Ÿ™Œ

Solid album, not really my genre but it won me over โ€” added 4 tracks to the playlist. Honestly get why everyone calls it a classic.Solid album, not really my genre but it won me over โ€” added 4 tracks to the playlist. Honestly get why everyone calls it a classic.

Horses by Patti Smith
Aug 26 2026

Genuinely interesting listen โ€” has real style and character, feels like a different kind of country genre music than usual, almost a new take on the genre. Not gonna lie though, that heavy vocal pitch-warping isn't my thing, even if it's clearly part of the album's whole identity. Wouldn't put it on by choice, but if it's playing and setting a ~70s or ~80s kind of mood, I'm not reaching for the skip button.

Trio by Dolly Parton
Aug 27 2026

Solid, chill American country album, really enjoyed it. Didn't expect Dolly to do country, thought she was more pop, lol, nice surprise. Cool that it's three singers, not just Dolly, feels like a good collaboration. Very "take me home, where i belong" vibe, and one track honestly sounds movie-ready. Howdy indeed, solid stuff.

Knew PJ Harvey, but never actually listened before, legendary status confirmed, this one's genuinely good. Get why it's called one of her masterpieces, feels like her most accessible and melodic work. Bonus points for the Thom Yorke collab since I'm a Radiohead fan, that track hit. Might come back to this one someday.

This Year's Model by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Aug 31 2026

Not really my style, a bit too much vocal theatrics for my taste โ€” art for the times I guess, but I want more raw feeling. Fun energy though. "Pump It Up" was a highlight, sounds like it belongs in an early-2000s movie. Rest of the tracks didn't grab me and wouldn't put this on for myself, but it's solid.

Amazing album, oh my days :D Arctic Monkeys never disappoint โ€” those riffs, that tempo, love it. Definitely gonna keep listening to this one and dive deeper into their discography, already a fan but this made me want more

Smash by The Offspring
Sep 02 2026

Good music, I get the appeal โ€” I'm into that shredding guitar sound. But this one's a bit too much noise, kind of tiring to get through, even though it's honestly the type of album I'd normally like. Mixed bag.

The Band by The Band
Sep 03 2026

Decent rock band, would vibe with it as background music. Wasn't blown away overall, but a couple tracks stood out even though they had fewer plays.

Sep 04 2026

Old-school rap that never gets tiring, holds up over time. Not a big rap fan myself, but this old-school style is legendary.

Ellington at Newport by Duke Ellington
Sep 07 2026

Knew "In a Sentimental Mood" as just a song, didn't realize Duke Ellingtons was behind it โ€” was listening to jazz mostly because it sounded nice. This album genuinely surprised me though, feels like real, pure jazz, not fake. Music sounds alive on the recording, like it has its own soul. Amazing.

Hounds Of Love by Kate Bush
Sep 08 2026

Pretty cool album overall โ€” lightweight from the start, easy to slip into the mood, no real struggle getting into it. Not sure I'd come back to it often though. But "Running Up That Hill" is amazing, would replay it endlessly โ€” partly because of the Stranger Things fame, but mostly because the song itself is just really, really good. The other tracks didn't hook me quite as much. "Under Ice" was a nice one too, strong 80s feel and that's wonderful.

White Blood Cells by The White Stripes
Sep 09 2026

I'm into guitar, so some riffs are solid โ€” "The Union Forever" has genuinely good riffs. The singer though, can't say I'm particularly a fan, sounds like the typical screamy-type vocal I've heard before. Album overall wasn't amazing, but decent enough, a few tracks stood out and that's what matters most โ€” "We're Going to Be Friends" was the standout, nice pleasant sound to it. Giving it more credit mostly for the riffs, since a couple tracks I'd genuinely use in a film if I had to.

Alien Lanes by Guided By Voices
Sep 10 2026

Music's great, singer's not well-known but that's honestly what makes it wonderful โ€” underground artists creating masterpieces that often beat out mainstream names. Really glad I found this album, genuinely love it, definitely gonna give it more than one listen. The music carries a real feeling and that's the magic of it. "Game of Prick" is a complete masterpiece, hands down.
