1001 Albums Summary

generally found that all the best songs were ones i already knew, the songs i was unfamiliar with will likely remain so even after this listen. I did enjoy the minutes of instrumental after songs concluded though, let’s bring that back

Perhaps I shouldn't be surprised, but so many of these lyrics speak to the current day almost as much as they did back when this album was released. really enjoyed listening to this!

learned a lot more about johnny cash from listening to this album then i thought i would

Not my favorite Beatles album but some undeniable classics on here for sure

Just now realizing I've only listened to their debut album before this but that will change moving forward!!

Fun, but not so distinctly memorable

some really great and funny bars in here but also some deeply misogynistic ones. many such cases !

good sounds, but kept getting distracted halfway through the songs

by chance the second gil scott-heron album i've listened to this month and this guy is just so awesome. consistently great, consistently relevant

ramble on!!!

maybe nostalgia blinds me but this album is so damn good

every song is bursting with texture it's just so incredible

That McCartney one that made me laugh out loud for how bad it is lol. I listened to this a lot growing up so there’s a lot of nostalgia here. but I really never choose to listen to MJ these days, which keeps it from a five star for me

enjoyed this, but it didn’t leave a big impression on me—but that could be placement against the recent run of albums

What a beautiful voice, lovely listening experience

BANGER!!! idk what was going on most of the time but BANGER!

YEAOWW!!

letting the days go by! water something something

Yea I liked this one!

Unexpectedly affected by I Come and Stand at Every Door.

Sorry Willie I just don't have a lot to say about this one

Could listen to this one for a few hours on end

really enjoyed this one!

Spotify seems to have deleted most of this album but of what I could listen to wasn't very distinguishable from most other 60s music to me.
