A Love Supreme by John Coltrane
Sep 08 2026

Some great playing naturally. A bit more glue in the thematic material I think would have bound this album together a bit more.

Hot Rats by Frank Zappa
Sep 09 2026

Essentially one long long jam, but a cool jam!

Melody A.M. by Röyksopp
Sep 11 2026

Very cool album, beautifully produced and composed electronica.

Pornography by The Cure
Sep 14 2026

Angsty rock with reverb drenched guitars. Super.

Debut by Björk
Sep 15 2026

Impressive and original album. The opening track vocals are discordant with the backing which makes it challenging to listen to but this is intentional I think.

Nothing's Shocking by Jane's Addiction
Sep 16 2026

It's got some cool tracks, but I actually prefer more recent Jane's Addiction albums. The vocals at times aren't great and it's a bit scrappy sounding.

Teenager Of The Year by Frank Black
Sep 17 2026

Some cool tracks, all seems a bit thrown together though.

Southern Rock Opera by Drive-By Truckers
Sep 24 2026

Really good album. Not even the style of music that I tend to listen to but this was excellent I thought.

I See A Darkness by Bonnie "Prince" Billy
Sep 25 2026

Very deep and heartfelt, recording itself a bit scrappy. Think I might need to listen to Radiohead now to cheer myself up!

Can't Buy A Thrill by Steely Dan
Sep 28 2026

Some catchy choruses. Not much more to shout about than that though really.

Odelay by Beck
Sep 29 2026

It's not bad, but once you've heard a couple of tracks they're all a bit samey.

Femi Kuti by Femi Kuti
Sep 30 2026

It's a solid piece of work, high energy.

Throwing Muses by Throwing Muses
Oct 02 2026

Sounds like something churned out from the 90s grunge era, but just not as good.

Play by Moby
Oct 05 2026

Glorified lift music really in my opinion

Mott by Mott The Hoople
Oct 07 2026

Not bad, some catchy riffs and ideas.

Bayou Country by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Oct 08 2026

Dad (dad) rock. Bit boring.

Countdown To Ecstasy by Steely Dan
Oct 09 2026

Decent songwriting but ultimately quite forgettable

To Pimp A Butterfly by Kendrick Lamar
Oct 14 2026

Very original creative tracks. It’s decent.

Ys by Joanna Newsom
Oct 16 2026

I got half way through and then I felt the need to go to the park and shoot small dogs with an air rifle, so I stopped listening.
