Ray’s pop album. Boring, formulaic, no piano, too much of the garbage backup singers. Compared to his early work this is throwaway music.

The guy at the record store probably loves this shit. Boring. Meandering. Lots of phrases forced to fit the “music.” Like they wrote in two different rooms. Clear verse chorus and 4/4 structure and only 44 minutes but just wandering at the same 3 out of 10 effort. Never once does anything feel like a complete idea. Overrated.

Compared to the other shit I’ve been forced to listen to, this was amazing. Hearing lots of influence on current alternative and indie. Lots of Dawes etc.

Some really beautiful stuff. Im sure this was amazing when it came out.

Another Bowie album. Trying so hard to not let the production affect my review but I can’t imagine how good this would be if it were recorded today. Solid album.
