Appetite For Destruction by Guns N' Roses
Oct 19 2026

It’s good but I don’t love it. Everything between the big hits such as Welcome to Jungle, Paradise city and sweet child o mine, are a bit same-y and faded to noise.

Siamese Dream by The Smashing Pumpkins
Oct 20 2026

Skilful guitar riffs by Corgan, good variety in the album whilst maintaining sonic cohesiveness throughput. This is a blast of nostalgia back to the 90s accompanied with Corgan’s nasally vocals, which grow on you.

Blue Lines by Massive Attack
Oct 21 2026

First song opens with Safe From Harm which has a hypnotic bass line to nod your head to and get buckled in. Hints of Rasta sprinkled throughout the album against the backdrop of sleek trip hop that massive attack are known for. Standout song is still Unfinished Symphony for me with Shara Nelson’s strong vocals and a gripping percussive melody in the forefront. Individually each the songs of the album are good which makes for a great album.

The Wall by Pink Floyd
Oct 22 2026

The album rounds off the zeitgeist of the 70s, a bit whacky, a bit groovy and sometimes serious. I have to sing my praises for the most iconic songs: Comfortably Numb, which despite its name, takes you through a reckoning of different emotions: (dejection, hope, despair and rage); the Wall, a long standing commentary on authority and the sad truth we’re part of a big societal machine. I was pleasantly surprised to have found new gems such as Goodbye Blue Sky, Lust Girl and Hey You. But there were some songs I felt like I was waiting a while to make its point. Overall a solid album of its time
