1001 Albums Summary

3/5 not a beatles fan, so i'm sure the nuances of this flew over my head. i did enjoy some of the melodies, but this is a longggg album. started to sound the same a quarter of the way through. best song: art of dying

3/5 i don't usually like live albums but considering the audience for this one i'll make an exception. listened to the standard edition due to time so maybe i missed some bangers in the legacy edition. didn't have any notable johnny cash songs for me. one of those albums where i like the premise and the history more than the actual music. fav song: san quentin (reprise)

2.5/5 just not my style. only made it through disc two so a 3.5 hour album was not in the cards for me. fitzgerald has a phenomenal voice but it was hard for me to get into. fav song: let's call the whole thing off

3.5/5 very good album to listen to while working. i'm not a jazz connoisseur so i probably didn't appreciate this as much as others but i liked how it wasn't saxophone heavy. would absolutely demolish a plate of pasta at olive garden to this. fav song: the girl from ipanema (ofc)

5/5 MY SHAYLA!! my favorite radiohead album and what i consider to be their best. a concise vision, great lyrics, consistently stellar acoustics. flows better than other albums and shows their progression of style becoming fully formed. fav song: weird fishes / arpeggi (#11 on my top all-time songs)
