Bruce SpringsteenSo this album is basically Bruce Springsteen sitting around a campfire acoustic style, telling stories that make little sense and sometimes he feels like playing his harmonica, and that's basically the whole album.

How lucky am I to have the opportunity to listen to all of this great music and appreciate artists that I may or may not have gotten to know if it was not for this 1001 list. The only number I think that I have heard from this duo is Missing - The Todd Terry remix, which is a classic dance hit in my mind. I like this album and it is very relaxing and for lovers of artists such as Air, Groove Armada or Massive Attack kind of music. If I was playing at Stella Polaris I would definitely play this.
If I didn't give this album five stars, you would know I had been kidnapped and forced to give a different vote. I sometimes like to play Chic or edits of Chic in my dj sets and the impact they have had on disco with this album is insane. I have had the pleasure of seeing them live, and I will say this listen brought back happy memories. Thank you Rodgers and Edwards
Maybe it's because I've never been into Mark Knopfler and that kind of music, or maybe it's because Walk of Life just reminds me of old people drinking and cover bands. I really would like to skip this album, but I will make it through, I promised myself. Damn, it's hard. I think that this may be the first one star album...
From the first track, I loved the sound. Wild smooth samples and if you like lo: fi Hiphop / Trip hop, House, delicious solos, nostalgic beats and electronic music from the beginning 2000, then this album is one you must hear. You probably know Drop the pressure, but this album can do a lot more than that.
Queen, what a classic album. Love Freddie's voice and this rock album have the signature queen sound throughout. There are very inspiring elements that sounds like they were made today and not in 1974.
Very Beck, I think the opening number is so similar to his number morning from 2014. What can I say, It is one of the most sundayish albums, a relaxing and mellow feeling that I really like.
Really really good!!!
I really like the sound, old school and still very contemporary sound.
Classic, heard this album many many times in my life!
A happy revisit to the legendary OK Computer, to think that this album is from 1997 is insane to me.

I actually almost fell asleep to The Rolling Stones when they played orange stage at Roskilde some years ago, hehe.. I think it says a lot about how I feel about them. I understand that RS are huge and they have a huge following, and this album from 1968 is very nice and easylistening indeed. If you like classic 60’s Rock/Blues or maybe artists like Mac Demarco and his newest album and you haven’t listened to The Rolling Stones, give it a listen.
Arctic Monkeys are in the top 10 of the wildest concerts I have experienced. I had the pleasure of seeing them perform in Leeds (almost in their home town Sheffield) and I can tell you, people went insane and it felt like standing in the middle of a British football match with the cheering fans and the roman candles and all. This album reminds me of the last half of my teenage years and even now I can appreciate this album and how well it is put together. I will recommend it to anyone who feels a bit of teenage angst or need to reminisce about a simpler time and listen to some good indie rock.
Hello, the 80's are calling. If this is goth sign me up, because I didn't know that I even liked goth-rock, but I do. It feels like someone is listening, because today the band is actually from Leeds. This album is for everyone that like this era of rock, very long tracks and the 80's feel. Dominion is my favourite track of the album.
I think everyone has heard 'fast car' of 'baby can I hold you' a couple of times in their life, that is how much of an impact this album has had. Maybe I'm not in the mood for Tracy Chapman at the moment, because it is really nice songwriting, but somehow it just reminds me of combilation music for lovers or something like that, and nothing wrong with that... if your into that vibe.
The jazz, folk and experimental sound of this album make it worth listening to.
Acid, experimental, eerie sounds and so modern that I sometimes forget that this is more the 25 years old.
I like this type of rock and I think that I just turned away from The Smashing Pumpkins in the past because I just did not know what to expect. But this album somehow makes me think that if I had been a teenager in 94, I would definitely have been feeling this while wearing flannel and doc martens and a cigarette in my mouth.

Yes, this is more like it. 1001 albums have really made me realise how much I love punk-rock and garage-rock and when you make a song named 'I Just Can't Be Happy Today', I can't be mad about it, at all. If I had been at a concert where they played and having a beer in my hand, I think I could be happy that day.
I have to say, that this is not an album I will listen to again, because it wasn't to my taste and that is why I've decided to give it two stars
I don't know what I expected, but this is
First track of the album is 21 minutes long... The album is about 2 hours long in total. A lot of the tracks has some really nice parts and is very inspiring, but in total it seems like there could have been some darlings that got killed. Good Drum'n'Bass and Jungle, but the vocals not so much.

Starting off strong with the late 80's sound. You know keys and drums machines. I know you know. I have to say that I'm not really into this album (the backing vocals/choir are slightly annoying) and Leonard Cohen, but maybe someday I will find some of his music that I like, maybe not.
I felt that I was carried along and that Jack and Meg took good care of me while listening to this album. With some hits especially Fell in love with a girl, you get a diverse album that can do almost anything without feeling boring. Simple yet powerful storytelling packed into 40 minutes worth giving a listen.

The first track of the album 'Just like honey' is the most played track of the album and this band all time, but it does no justice to this album and what it has to offer to the listener. The album was cohesive and the noise and monitor feedback sounds used as an extra layer and helping the album keep this cool and 'I don't care' sound. I really like it!
You are in for a ride with ELO, an album that is almost 80 minutes long, and it has its moments. So what I think first of is a mix between some Beatles-esque songs with Queen harmonizing set to take place in space in the late '70s. You have probably heard some part of Mr Blue Sky, and it is a really fun and happy song in its whole length. Listen to this and feel yourself get filled with joy and happiness.

I poured myself a drink with some rum and sat on my balcony in the sun. Fastest way to travel to a sunny country and getting the feeling of vacation that I really needed. Found myself dancing some wannabe mambo moves during this album. Do yourself a favor and travel to the sound of Tito and his band.
Graceland is an album with great influence from African music and with the help of African musicians and Paul Simons songwriting, this album is indeed a classic and have clearly inspired many. This isn’t my favourite musically, but I'm always up for a dance to "You Can Call me Al" anytime.
I love Bossa Nova, but this album is some kind of Frank Sinatra sings his English/American versions of classic Bossa Nova songs. I'm not really feeling it. Also, I have always preferred the Brazilian version of The Girl From Ipanema, and if you ask nicely I can sing some of it to you in Portuguese. It gets one star and that is only because of Jobim.
Kiss is less scary than I thought. Maybe the make-up that is actually not that scary, okay maybe a little.. and the fact that they also play glam rock was not something I knew before I listened to this album. I was not really paying that much attention during this listen, but now I know that the motor city of the US also produced this kind of music.
