Bubble And Scrape
SebadohI had a hard time connecting with most of the songs on this album. Nothing carried a tune really and the lyrics just disappeared.

Great album. It's another one of those where I already knew half of the songs, but hadn't quite figured out who the artist was.
Sometimes it's hard to believe how good a debut album can be. Absolute classic, a great listen almost any time.
Apparently this is a total classic album that everybody has heard of and loves, except for me. I enjoyed it well enough, although some of it doesn't do anything for me (I can see the nostalgia factor).
Just couldn't get into it. I'm not sure how this is a must-listen.
Not very captivating to me. Not enough melody for my liking at the moment.
Wall of sound punk rock with meedly meedly guitar solos! What's not to like? Good mosh pit music. I will say that I felt like I had enough by about 5 or 6 songs in and started skipping around looking for something more interesting.

Lots of spoken word albums in this list. I really didn't like this album very much. I though the music and the backing band were good, but couldn't get into the vocals at all.
What a classic!! Growely vocals, jamming blues guitar, slick drum riffs. I listened to "Master of Sparks" at least 5 times in a row - I couldn't get enough of it. I've heard a lot of songs off of this album, but not all of them, and not all together.
Eh. I know this one gets massive kudos for what it is, and in the psych circles this one gets brought up a lot. But personally it just doesn't really fit the bill and is a little lacking in spacey-ness and heavy on vocals.
Personally I'm not really a Massive Attack fan, though I do appreciate that it was a part of the early downtempo/chillwave sort of sound.
I really enjoyed this album, I had never heard it before. Great musical sound and good vocals and harmonies. I never knew this was such a classic!

I've heard various songs by Jane's Addiction on the radio (my peak radio years were the 90's) but never gave anything a full play-through. I enjoyed most of the songs but skipped through a few (the end of Ted, Just Admit It.. couldn't hang onto that one). Good grungy processed fuzzy guitars and drums, and Perry Farrell grinding away on top of it.
I have to say, the style is a tough reach for me. I see it, I can understand it, but it doesn't touch me. That said, a coworker of mine is HUGELY nostalgic for The Fall, and this album in particular, so I have to give them major credit for being so influential.
This album was like a rollercoaster for me. Shifting between super melodic, reverby tenor vocals layered on top of one bass note at a time to chanting with a snare drum to almost pre-rock ballads you can picture playing on a piano with a lone spotlight overhead. Overall a beautiful album, interesting to read about 'Skip' Spence's life while playing through.
A really nice listen, very somber and chill. Music to leave earth, and all its dumb stuff, in a spacesuit and float away to.
Good one! Groovy funky dancy beats, interesting vocals and just an overall good presentation. Seems more mature than 1995!
I also enjoyed this album quite a lot. Despite being "one of the greats", I don't enjoy LaGWAFIS, but Lazer Guided Melodies feels like a whole different vibe.
Hmm. I did enjoy the album, but I don't suspect it's one I'll be reaching for often.
A total classic, an enjoyable angsty album! Never listened to the whole thing through before.
This one was a wild listen. I think I really only liked "Birthday" but I can definitely appreciate not only this band and album, but that Bjork has such a wide range of styles and a powerful leading voice. The chanting/speaking guy in the background tainted a lot of songs for me.
Never listened to any Muddy Waters before (except maybe on the radio or something). I really enjoyed this album! Live blues. What's not to like?
Just couldn't get into it. I'm not sure how this is a must-listen.
Total classic headbanger hard rock. Every song is a hit!
Ehhh didn't do anything for me. Vocals are actually very good, music is ok, lyrics are odd and I guess this just isn't a mood I'm feeling.
Great album, lots of classics. Definitely acts its age.
What a classic! So pretty, such good music, harmonies, lyrics, everything.
I had a hard time connecting with most of the songs on this album. Nothing carried a tune really and the lyrics just disappeared.
What a classic! Not a bad song on the album. Beautiful harmonies, groovy psychedelic music. Love it.
Ehh just ok for me. Like a lot of bands I do like them better live than studio recorded. But still, I just think Jane's Addiction isn't quite for me.
Can't believe I had never listened to this one all the way through, a total classic full of great tunes.
Ew, just could not get into this one. Listened to the first few tracks, skipped through the rest. Sorry.
Interesting! All kinds of influences and styles present behind groovy beats and fun instrumentals. I'll give this one another listen in a week or so and see how it settles.
Enjoyable but not really memorable.
Another classic rock classic.
What a classic! Not every song is worth listening through but the amount of absolute bangers on this album is mind blowing. And to think it was a debut album that started off with Welcome to the Jungle!
Nice! I like it! Easy to listen to and not something I'd normally bring up. 3.5/5 for me.
I can appreciate that this was somewhat either ground-breaking or genre-defining, but DNB isn't really for me. And the vocals didn't make up for anything. A good album, well produced.
Good one! I dig her voice and the music - somehow both relaxing and uncomfortable at the same time. Will listen again.
Yeah I enjoyed this album! Not something I would have ever chosen on my own, which I appreciate. Funky 80's groove and better than decent vocals.
Classic weird psychedelic rock. Some of it rocks, some of it wallows, some of it is just plain strange. A favorite, for sure.
Absolutely loved this album. A few songs wound up forgettable, but the whole thing was worth a double listen-through.
A total classic! Really enjoyable listen despite some of the tracks being quite repetitive.
Definitely enjoyed this one, a good blast into the past for sure. Good beats, good music, good lyrics and good vocals all add up to a fun retro (90's) listen!
Loved it! A total classic - this is another one of those albums that I've listened to and heard song after song that I recognized but never knew who sang it. Definitely will listen again. Great Sunday morning vibe.
Eh, had a hard time getting into it. Brit rock pop stuff... not really for me.
Fun early punk! A few songs I didn't care for but overall a good listen. And hard to believe it's from so long ago now.
Loved it! Beautiful.
Fun album, good energy. I kinda lost interest about 2/3 of the way through but overall enjoyed it!
Good, enjoyed it. Can't really remember any of the songs in particular.
Eh ok. Not a very memorable album to me, good rock and roll, good music. Just doesn't get me going.
Beautiful album, great songwriting, a good vibe and plenty of variety. I'm becoming a Neil Young fan it would seem...
More classic Steely Dan.
Fun good punk album, I'm always amazed listening to such old punk albums that would still hold up today.
