American IV: The Man Comes Around
Johnny CashI love how even though this album is mostly made of covers, Cash makes them sound like they were always his songs to begin with Favorites: The Man Comes Around, Hurt, Personal Jesus, Streets of Laredo

I didn't really like this album when I first listened to it a few years ago, but after revisiting it it's grown on me a bit.
A classic!
I think I prefer older glam rock period David Bowie more than his soul-inspired era. Lots of good saxophone parts though. I think I prefer the back half of the album to the front. Favorites: Somebody Up There Likes Me, Can You Hear Me, Fame
I understand the importance of Christmas music in our culture... but I am not seeing what really stands out about this Christmas album specifically. This sounds nice but I wouldn't seek it out to listen to it. Favorites: Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)
I've never heard this album before today. It's not something I'd reach for all the time, but I enjoyed discovering it. Favorite: When Seasons Change
I knew a few of the singles off this album of course, but I didn't know the whole album was so great! I really enjoyed this the whole way through. Favorites: Rio, Hold Back the Rain, The Chauffeur
While this is not my favorite Green Day album, it's easy to see the influence that it had on pop punk music that came after it. It's very catchy. I'm not a big fan of all the immature lyrics, but they definitely fit the theme of the album. Favorites: Basket Case, She, When I Come Around
I had heard everyone raving about this album but never thought I liked jazz enough to enjoy it so I never listened to it... turns out I like jazz enough to enjoy it! Favorite song: Chameleon
I was familiar with this album before this adventure, but I'm glad I got a chance to listen to it. An indie rock classic! Favorites: Silence Kid, Gold Soundz, Fillmore Jive

I like The Beatles... but I think this album is a little too long. The singles are good though and I appreciate how many different things they tried. Favorite: Blackbird
This is the first one I've had that I don't like. I've never been much of a Michael Jackson fan and separating the art from the artist is hard for me.
Favorites: Bring It On Down, Cigarettes & Alcohol, Slide Away
This had a lot of interesting musical elements, but I personally don't have the attention span for a lot of 11-minutes songs.
This is the first album I've gotten so far by a woman. I really like how interesting Janice's voice is. Favorite: Me and Bobby McGee
I expected to hate this a lot more than I did, but I still don't think thrash is my genre of metal. Impressive guitar skills though!
I want to like rap more than I do, I can't get into the misogyny and frequent use of the N-word, but this has great production and I know more of these songs than I thought I did.
I couldn't really find anything that stood out to me about this album. Not bad but not really my thing.
Even through these are mostly traditional songs, her voice is lovely and I really enjoyed listening to them.
I had never heard of this band before this. Definitely a classic post-punk sound.
I'm not typically a thrash metal fan, but I did enjoy this more than I expected. Some of the songs dragged on a bit too long though.
This is a band I always meant to check out because I thought I'd really like them but never listened. I'm glad I got the opportunity to give this one a listen, because I was right and I am really liking it. Favorites: Into the Light, Arabian Knights
One I was already familiar with before this experiment. Loved getting a chance to listen to the album!
This was good, but it didn't leave much of an impression on me.
An indie classic! Favorites: Get Me Away, I'm Dying; If You're Feeling Sinister
I admit I don't really understand the hype on this one. It sounded nice but was kind of boring.
This was okay, it made me think of Toy Story but wasn't my favorite.

This album is good, but I found it a little bland. Favorites: Bittersweet Symphony, The Drugs Don't Work

This is my favorite Arcade Fire album!
I missed this one back in the day, but I am definitely enjoying it.
This was a nostalgic listen for me, I was in 6th grade when this came out and although I never listened to it myself I found myself remembering parts of it here and there. I was not a huge fan, but I definitely see how influential Outkast was on hip hop.

No offense to Iggy but this wasn't my favorite of the bunch.
A classic!
I think I'm just not a big fan of ska, because this isn't doing very much for me.
I've always loved how catchy this album is.
Unfortunately, this doesn't do much for me.
I wasn't super into this one until the second half, which was excellent!
I enjoyed this one a lot!
It's weird that this band is a one-hit wonder because this whole album is great!
I can't decide if this one or Boxer is my favorite National album.
