1001 Albums Summary

It was hard to not get the idea of "proto-gorillaz" out of my head in the first few listens. Some tracks just felt like stuff Damon would go on to tackle later under the moniker. However this album and Blur are far from what we would come to know. Tight grooves and riffs spice up the album in between the main chunk of the tracks. It's very easy listening with more to appreciate on each listen.

What on first impression feels unfocused, random, rough and incomplete you will then learn is the result and product of Willie's artistic control. Sparse and demo-like, it is never dwelling on one idea. Instead it is constantly moving onward with its narrative.

Very inoffensive in what feels like a novel way.

Some of the easiest listening you can find. It’s hard to complain about peak Dylan.

Feels like the precursor to a lot but also has some dated elements. A fun project regardless, glad I got to be enlightened to it.

Good stuff. Very tight song structure. Mature song writing with a bit youthful spark still to it.
