I own or downloaded a Fleet Foxes album years ago... not this one thankfully. But now I think about it there is maybe only one track I like on that one. There were zero on here - and I like a bit of folksy Americana
Sounds as fresh today as the day it was released - classic, must download
Opens with 2 absolute classics, brings the 80s synth and drum machine unashamedly to the party. Criticism would be that some tracks are overly long but they play happily in the background
Always really liked the singles off this but realise now it was the remixes I liked - someone else gave them a bit of something that the original versions were missing. Didn't really listen to the album, more inoffensive background music that kept me plodding.... it is a plodder
I really enjoyed this - a mash up of so many stylings which many will critique as a bit chaotic, but they've brought together so many of my formative musical influences that I think I may have developed a soft spot for them. And they knew how to write a dead catchy tune - Glamour Boys is a fab bit of pop that appeals to my inner 10 year old
I enjoyed this way more than I thought I would and Green light is a banger of an opening track that gets turned up loud in our car... I had to check there wasn't a pigeon stuck up our chimney when listening to Sober - there was a background note that sounded like a 'coo' and had me really confused for a bit. Would pop on again as a bit of background working music but probably wouldn't 'listen' to it
The incessant pitch of the alto sax took me back to a time filled with undiagnosed PND - I won't be listening again no matter how talented the musicians
