I don't plan on handing out too many 5 stars. But Sinead hits on every level. She sings, composes, writes and produces her own music which I might add is damned good. Her haunting voice with simple melodies. She had to balls to stand up to the Catholic church way before it became a trend and almost lost her career for it. If iIcould give her a 10 I would.

Let It Be by The Replacements
Dec 15 2022

Absolutely a great band, i started listening the them in the early 80s watching and listening to them mature into a more melodic band. Not one of my favorite albums of the band but far from their worse. This band still rates high in my book

All Things Must Pass by George Harrison
Dec 16 2022

What a great album. I've listened to this when i was a young child of. A lot of nastalgia for me. Probably the best Solo album of all the beatles

Violent Femmes by Violent Femmes
Dec 17 2022

Quite a few old favs from this album. Blister in the sun, gone daddy gone and kiss off! What a fun album, i will be revisiting this one.

Definitely Maybe by Oasis
Dec 18 2022

This album started off slow for me. After the 3rd song it really became a winner. Other than wonder wall I've never bothered to give this band a listen. That changed today. These guys can really groove, the something is good as well as musicianship.

Dec 19 2022

This was hard one to get through for me. All in all it's just not a sound that i get into. No wow factor going on. The only song I listened to on repeat was Seductive Barry. A few of the song were over produced. There was nothing to sing a long to. I felt it tried too hard to be a cleve lyrical revelation.

In Utero by Nirvana
Dec 20 2022

Anything Nirvana is great in my books. This album: Stripped down and bare, represents the rawness of a band coming out of a punk background! Bonus!!! Alex Grey famed artist for Tool did the album artwork!!!

Marquee Moon by Television
Dec 21 2022

I loved this album and band, reminded me of early punk except these guys can actually play!!

Dig Me Out by Sleater-Kinney
Dec 22 2022

The first album generated that i could not push past, I found the playing repetitive, the vocals absolutely terrible. No melodies. There are simply no redeeming qualities for this style of music.

Marcus Garvey by Burning Spear
Dec 23 2022

I've never given much of my listening time to reggae music. I like what I've listened too. Very nice groove.

The Specials by The Specials
Dec 24 2022

Early ska! I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Mr. Tambourine Man by The Byrds
Dec 25 2022

Listening to this album i heard how they influenced future bands in the 70 and 80s. From music to vocal styles.i had s few favs already and even picked up a couple more that appealed to me melodically and lyrically.

Dec 27 2022

A great band. Musically top tier talent. A great album. So many great bands came from this one group like ELP and Foreigner, not to mention the amount of bands that they influenced.

Pictures At An Exhibition by Emerson, Lake & Palmer
Dec 28 2022

I did not enjoy this. It was hard to follow. I understand they were on the forefront of progrock, but this had way too many distorted elements of jazz, classical and rock. It all sounds like everyone in the group is playing a different song at the same time. Not my bag. Musicianship they're off the charts. It's all too flamboyant and egotistical.

Trafalgar by Bee Gees
Dec 29 2022

The Bergers rival any bands harmonies of their era, they're masterst of sounding like anyone else in each era they performed in. The Beatles, the beachboys etc. This album is full of sappy sad songs. The guys can sing. Innovative they are not. With that i give this a solid 2 stars

The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails
Dec 31 2022

Trent Rezner is an incredible writer, performer and arranger. This album I'm not a big fan of. I do enjoy plenty of his other stuff. There's a big difference in this album from his other stuff.

Foxbase Alpha by Saint Etienne
Jan 05 2023

I'm not sure how to catalog this. It's both soothing and catchy. I'll def add it to my regular listening. Musically i really dig it. Vocally incredibly smooth. Sexy music.

Abraxas by Santana
Jan 07 2023

Excellent album one that really put them on the charts. Greg Rollie is one of my all time favorite vocalists. It wasn't long before he left Santana to start Journey as keyboards and vocals

Aja by Steely Dan
Jan 08 2023

Lots of good songs on this breakout album. Exceptional musicianship. Good driving music

Moon Safari by Air
Jan 10 2023

I found this album early last summer it's been on repeat since.

Disintegration by The Cure
Jan 11 2023

Post punk, gothic. Although this album is their breakthrough album. The bands music style is a little too gothic for my tastes. Too dark and dismal.

evermore by Taylor Swift
Jan 14 2023

Hell no!

Tanto Tempo by Bebel Gilberto
Jan 15 2023

Tried. Could not make it through to the end.

Parachutes by Coldplay
Jan 16 2023

I cannot stand this band!

Mama's Gun by Erykah Badu
Jan 17 2023

It's funky.

It was ok. Nothing really great about it. Sounds like they might be a good live band. Sometimes that energy doesn't come through on a recording.

Eternally Yours by The Saints
Jan 19 2023

Incredible. I can hear how this band could have influenced other bands. Punk Rock with a lot of emphasis on the rock side. I really liked this album so much that I dove into their first. This will be added to my list of favs for the new year.

Jan 21 2023

I'd give this a half and half. It's a good mixture of rock, folk, blues and a wee bit country. Some of the songs on this are obvious hits others a bit dated and boring.

Duck Rock by Malcolm McLaren
Jan 22 2023

Surprising great! To be honest I went into listening to this with a closed mind, "Rap!", I found myself really enjoying this.
