1001 Albums Summary

I do not like his voice. Could never get into these snotty nu punk bands.

Every time I listen to this album, I find a new favorite song on it.

I feel like I’m being pranked here seeing all of these 5 stars and high accolades for this album. It never went anywhere. No hooks, no grooves, no high gear, nothing memorable, just…….slow and moody. The first song was 8 minutes of practically nothing. But people are gobbling it up and saying it’s amazing? I dunno, fam.

I half like this, half hate this.

I guess this is one of those “England loves it but it never made it to America” like Robbie Williams or Lily Allen. Some of the comments seem to make this a big deal but it sounded pretty basic and boring for the most part. Just…..nothing there that’s interesting.

I’ve never heard of this band and this sorta stuff isn’t for me unless I’m high (I don’t usually listen to these high). But apparently, their first album was on the main list and I gave it a 1. Was so bored I don’t remember a thing about it. Maybe I’m just being a dick, though.

I had never heard of this band until a few months ago when I came across the music video for one of their 80’s songs called Warm Wet Circles. We laughed and laughed at how corny it was and how the lead singer just looked so out of place singing that song. It was just 🌽 🌽 🌽 🌽 corny. I guess there was a new singer by the time the 90’wcrolled along but this isn’t any better. It just sounds like some dudes wanted to make uninteresting rock opera-like long prog rock. And it’s 1 hour and 40 minutes? Fucking yikes.

I like the music and some of the non-screamy vocals aren’t bad but goddamn, this is like listening to Sam Kinnison screaming to 90’s punk.

I’m surprised this is on here because it’s just a rock record and those seem to be out of favor these days. Kinda average hard rock but I’m a hard rock guy, so….. Kudos to you, whoever added it, for going against the goofy shit a lot of these Bonus Albums seem to be. I’ll give an extra ⭐️ just for that.
