Nice album on a sunny day. The lyrics Arent always that sunny and there is much love sadnesss. But the happy music covers this well. Nice how the instruments blend together and how the guitars easy switch from arpeggio to groovy rythms. Thats especially the case in old time loving and on how to mend a broken heart. Next to the hit lets stay together and it aint fun to me are these my favourite songs on this record.
Is the dove still alive? I forgot to write down.y listening notes to the previous album, tonight is the night from Neil Young. I liked it. Neil Young is always nice to listen to, although there are no big hits in this album and i did t know any of the songs. You should not say this is his sixth album? It could have been also his debut, because there are no songs yet that overleed the otgers. The title song is a nice song in the tradition of telling a story. The second song was instrumentally the most toch one. And Albuquerque was the best rocking song on this album. It was along this song that i found a wounded dove along walking in the pets farm. I hope she did survive, i told to the supervisor who tried to save it by calling the protection service for birds. And about this album of talking heads: it s Friday night now and a talking heads album is ideal to start the weekend with 😉. It s got its typical way of steady rythms and almost narrative and sometimes shouting way of singing.
Old or timeless? Sometimes easy listening sometimes boring.
A Miles Davis album is always an adventure and a nice road trip. Good company, even when you have baf luck and they locked you up at a parking of a supermarket. Just keep your cool and fix it, thats what you can do thanks to this album 😉. Great jazz trip.
Great punk album, with a very good singer. She s coming to Brussels soon but unfortunately it s already sold out. Nice discovery. I already knew some songs of them, but nothing of this album. You can here a lot of other bands who got inspiration from this band. Like the young fly s guitar play of U2, like on songs as i will follow. Great mix of punk and new wave. Also the yeah yeah yeah s are not far away from this album.
The Beatles and the stones 😉. Mr Soul is a very catchy opening song and reminds me of some songs of the Stones, the second song could have been from the four fabs themselves 😉. And broken arrow, another great song, has also a structure that reminds to the Beatles. A real classic rock album, that i like very much 😉.
I expected Soul, but i got funky grooves and sometimes a bit of rock. Nice surprise. Also the lyrics are nice and unexpected sometimes politically, like on big brother. Other songs are more about live, except maybe superstition, the only song i already knew. It s a nice surprise and a great discovery 😉.
Very nice album in an unfollowable style. Nice to hear planet Claire again and of course i already knew the hit Rock lobster, but the other songs are also very nice. Great singing, especially from the female singer Kate . Dont know the titles anymore nut i added two songs to my favourites.
Rechttoe rechtaan punk. Just the way i like it. Short songs that are loud, fast but also variated in melody, so they dont het full at any time. Great Discover. I knew already a few songs of them, but none of this album.
Nice album in his genre. Need a better listen, so this rating is just for now. But its a crucial album in the history of Metal.
Its very experimental, somewhere between pink Floyd and experimental jazz. For now i rate it between 3 and 4, but its an album that probably gets better with every listening turn.
Nice punk album. Not very new any more, too much heard and therefore sometimes annoying. But an important time stamp.
Very nice discovery. Didnt like it at first, thought i did land in church somehow, but i got into it after some songs. Most of it is Soul, but the spoken word parts give him the right to call him a founder of rap. Liked h2ogate blues a lot, is smart thinking lyrics. Daddy loves you is beautiful and tells how im feeling now. I did always know the songs, coz i could t see it always on my phone. Will probably be better the most time i listen to it.

Good punk rock, in the style of the Ramones. But i think this band was first and probably an example for the Ramones. Good melodies, nice sing along songs. I already knew and like the opening song, the other songs are new discoveries.
Nice to meet you😉. Good rock album, but not unique enough in his kind. Sounds to much like oasis, and in one song the intro is the same as in sweater song from yo la tengo. Individual is too noisy. I do like the variation in songs and the more quite ones, eg broken heart. Will i listen to it much? Probably not. Will i like to see a gig from him. If possible, sure.

Eriatarka reminds to some parts of Radioheads songs, in the period of paranoid Android. Global they remind me to Myse. And they gave me the same feeling: not bad, but too much hysteria 😉. In another book i am reading, "365 albums die je beluisterd moet hebben", they get compared to and promoted as the successor ( opvolger) van King Crimson. I dont know that band very well, should be the founders of progrock, but one of their songs , "21th schizoid century man " is in my lust of liked songs. So after this album i d like to listen to " in the court of kung Crimson". The song i am hearing now, cicratic esp or so, is better : more nice guitar riffs in it, but also to long , i like more short powerful songs. I accidently listened to it a second time and liked it then better. I noticed now that songs are also energetic and also remind me sometimes to quotsa, liked the second song. Still very long songs, that sometimes sound more space, what fits with their name. Tonight we can see Mard in the west, so the timing to offer me this band today is maybe not a coincidence 😉.
Good album, i like lou reed a lot. Is probably his saddest album and stays difficult to really understand. Sad song is the last song but also the best song. Got compared with the feelies, with recommanded album crazy rithms. They sound more like the Velvet Underground. It s also a good album.
A bit too experimental, i didnt get a connection with the songs.

A great goodbye to live from a great poet and singer songwriter. Songs and lyrics are from a very high level. Gives the feeling you are on his funeral in church. An album to sit by relaxed and really listen to with full attention.

Nice pop songs, a bit like the beach boys and sometimes also the Beatles. Ok for one listening turn, but it is too common and already heard a lot, a bit thirteen in a dozen, so it s gonna annoy me fast.

Björk is another universe. Ideal music to sit back , relax and listen. Comes the closest to whale songs and represents, i guess the wide landscapes of Iceland ( never been there). Nice album.
