Moon Safari
AirIncredibly, incredibly BORING.
Incredibly, incredibly BORING.
Started out really strong for me, but towards the end I really did not care for some of the songs. Standouts for me were Rikki Don't Lose That Number and Any Major Dude Will Tell You.
Mixed opinions for me. The songs I really liked, I liked. The songs I didn’t like, I didn’t care for. Stand outs were Personal Jesus, Halo, Enjoy the Silence.
I understand why this one isn’t talked about as much as the others. Sounds like it’s a soundtrack for a play, which is actually very on brand for Queen. Not for me. Seven Seas of Rhye kinda goes.
As a metal fan, I loved this. I really had not listened to a ton of Motorhead outside Ace of Spades but this was very sold. Lemmy is one of the best to do it. Stand outs were Ace of Spades, Live to Win and Fire Fire.
They kind of sound like they’re imitating Greta Van Fleet. That being said, Jimmy Page is in a class all his own, especially on Heartbreaker. Wasn’t a huge fan of some of the slower songs. Standouts were Whole Lotta Love, Heartbreaker and Ramble On.
I liked her in Glass Onion but not sure if her music is for me. Some catchy songs but overall, not for me.
I really, really enjoyed this album. I had never heard of New Order before but I am a sucker for house music type beats and this one had plenty. Every song had a really great beat and felt very, very '80s synth pop, which I loved. Standouts were Fine Time, Round & Round, Mr. Disco and Dream Attack.
Steve Jesus type of music. Not usually something I'd listen to but I enjoyed. I didn't hate anything nor did anything really stand out. Solid piece of music.
I enjoy this era of music a lot. I liked this album quite a bit. Standouts were Jump, Jive, An'Wail and Oh, Marie.
Hand up, first time listening to this album outside of Take It Easy and Peaceful Easy Feeling. Some misses but some monster hits. I love the contrast on back to back songs like Peaceful Easy Feeling and Tryin’.
Not for me. Singer sounds very whiny.
Decent album. Sounds like a British Ramones to me to be honest. Really has a garage band feel in a good way. Could see why they’d take off with London Calling. Didn’t love anything, didn’t hate anything either.
Really haven’t listened to a lot of pre “Who’s Next” Who but if I was going to, I’d prefer it to NOT be a live album. None of the songs punched the same for me like a Baba O’Riley or Won’t Get Fooled Again
Really, really liked this album. Geddy Lee just has a voice that makes every song on this album sound like some sort of eccentric rock-opera in all the right ways. 2112 (the song) is obviously a beast but is so different enough that you forget your listening to one 20 minute song. Tears was the low point but really, I think it's because it's so drastically different in terms of tone with the rest of the album. A Passage to Bangkok and Something For Nothing were the other standouts for me.
Thought it was fine. The highs were very high (My Sweet Lord, Wah-Wah) and the lows were very low (Apple Scruffs). If you love the Beatles I can see how one would like this album but I don’t love them so 2.5 stars from me for Mr. Harrison.
I kind of disappointed I didn’t enjoy this as much as I thought I was going to. Some of the beats were good but I don’t know. Nothing resonated with me.
I did not like this at all. Some people may enjoy it but I never got into it. Clapton’s guitar was great but almost every song was ruined by the vocals in my opinion.
GREAT album...if it is trying to put someone to sleep. I read when this first came out it was a commercial flop and I understand why. Then it got rereleased a few times and became a commercial success. No clue why. The instrumentals are good but Gene has a "trying too hard" vibe to his voice. True One wasn't too bad.
Another album that has great instrumentals and is ruined for me by the vocals. It sounds like the vocals are turned down, combined with the lead singer mumbling a lot of the words and not being to understand him. That alone made me not very interested. VERY good instrumental though. Whoever the guitarist is was impressive.
Rating is only based on Train in Vain because I did not listen to the album. 3.5/5
1 star for a boring 17 minute song
Incredibly, incredibly BORING.
