Buena Vista Social Club
Buena Vista Social ClubVery fun album. Quite a range of tracks, but all definitively Cuban. Not every track is a winner, but still certainly worth a listen.

Not his best album, but his debut album is still a significant moment in rock and roll history. Gotta give respect where respect is due.
One of the best rock albums of all time. An absolute must-listen. The flute has never been so cool.
I appreciate the huge success this album achieved, it's just a bit too modern pop for my tastes. Couple of tolerable tracks, but overall, meh.
Very cool, jazzy, instrumental hip-hop. Fun variety of tunes, definitely worth a listen.
Marvin's got soul, there's no denying that. A couple of songs were a little leaning, but overall a great album.
Not bad, but not much variety throughout. Mad props for what they've accomplished, just not quite for me.
Interesting alt rock album. Not quite my tempo.
Not a bad indie rock album, I'm just a bit picky about albums that feature a bunch of short songs, and this doesn't check all of my boxes.
Very fun "outlaw country" album with great storytelling. Not every song is a winner, but a few tracks (Big Iron, Master's Call) pick up the slack. Worth a listen.
Very raw 60s garage rock. A few more covers than I like to see on an album, but they do add a fun grittiness to everything they do.
Very cool album! Not quite my style, but it is a shame Neneh didn't reach the popularity of others of her era (Prince, Madonna, etc.).
Jazz perfection. What else is there to say?
Guitar legend and a hell of a blues musician. He will be missed. The only thing preventing me from giving 5 stars are the, in my opinion, subpar covers on this album. They just felt a little out of place.
Fantastic early 90s rap album. A masterpiece of it's time.
Certainly tolerable, and Costello is certainly a damn fine songwriter, I'm just not a fan.
Fine indie rock album, not my favorite in the world.
One of Bowie's finest. What a masterpiece of songwriting.
Took a while to get onboard, but ended up liking this album a bit. Not amazing, but definitely worth the journey.
Incredible funk album. A little repetitive, but a banger start to finish.
Very fun album. Very interesting to hear such a heavy American influence (blues, country, etc.) from the British rock legends.
A couple hits, but I'm not as much of a fan of their deep cuts. Their harmonies are great, but most of the album is a lot less energy than I would've expected from the Beach Boys. Still worth a listen.
Very fun album. Much jazzier than I was expecting. Lots of sax. A couple absolute bangers, but the whole album is very enjoyable.
Fun South African album, very easy listening. Except for "One More Dance", I liked just about every track.
Not a bad album, it just didn't connect with me as other rap albums from this era.
Great early Beatles album. Good ol classic Brit pop.
I was blown away by this album! What a mix of rock, blues, jazz, and many other influences. There are one or two weaker tracks, but overall, a must listen.
Very interesting album. "Folk jazz" is how it was described to me, and as odd as it sounds, it fits. Not exactly my cup of tea, just certainly a worthwhile experience.
Very relaxing album. Not my usual cup of tea, but I certainly appreciate the composition and overall flow of the album.
Very unique "electronic pop" album. There's nothing quite like LCD Soundsystem.
I'm usually not one for experimental rock, but this album was a blast. Definitely worth the experience.
Interesting album, kind of a transitional album from rock to punk. Not every song is great, but there are definitely a couple of entertaining songs.
Fine indie rock album. A bit of variety, but still fairly generic, IMO.
Neat Brazilian album. A lot of fun tracks, a lot of slow and heartfelt tracks. Not exactly my jam, but I certainly appreciate it.
Cool album! I liked this one better than the other one of this list (The Suburbs).
S-tier folk rock!
Legendary album from a legendary songwriter.
Very fun debut album.
Fun folk-rock album, bordering the progressive side. Not every song was a winner, but overall worth a listen.
Wonderful live blues album. Muddy Waters is not my favorite blues musician, but there is no doubt he is a true source of inspiration for the genre.
Zeppelin in their prime.
Very entertaining R&B album. Great guest vocalists, interesting talk tracks between songs, overall pretty good! I'm just not the biggest fan of R&B.
Excellent indie rock album. Jack White is a hook machine. Though is uniqueness does become a bit repetitive.
What a ride! A bit off-putting and surely ridiculous, but it's worth the experience.
Very chill, almost minimalist rock. A couple very weird tracks, but I enjoyed them all. Nothing earth shattering though.
He's an odd one, but a hell of a songwriter.
Absolutely delightful. What a fun double album. Very cool to essentially see two solo albums considered one collective band album. Definitely a must-listen.
Decent blues album, but honestly fairly generic in my opinion. Clapton has a great time, but not overly impressed by his chops.
Great album by an incredible songwriter. Not my favorite of his, but still a classic.
A masterpiece.
Easy listening electronic ambient album. Aphex Twin is a true trailblazer. Not exactly my cup of tea, but I enjoyed and appreciate it.
Excellent slice of history. I really enjoy Public Enemy's use of sampling. Definitely a power duo.
A fine example of '60s soul, though a touch on the repetitive side. A couple tracks got mighty funky though.
I love this album! Definitely experimental, but has enough familiar elements to keep it from going off the rails. It's not perfect, but definitely worth a listen.
Great electronic album. I truly didn't hate a single song though not all of them a certified banners. Plenty of catchy hooks, some fun sampling, overall a good time.
Accomplished songwriting, just not quite my cup of tea.
Not a big fan of U2, but this is a fine album.
Fun and quirky blues album.
