6.25/10. Decent album. Probably not a top 3 Beatles album for me though. Transcendental druggy vibe, some good songs, Eleanor Rigby, Yellow Submarine.

5/10.The R-E-S-P-E-C-T album. Aretha has a great voice, but it's not enough to overcome the samey sound of this album for me. If you like the style and genre you will enjoy this, similar to The Strokes album Is This It, where you either love it or it's not for you. This wasn't for me.

Album only on YouTube, was choppier as a result. 7/10. Great guitar, funky sounds, a bit slow for me. Ends in an edited down Maggot Brain, extended original version on the Maggot Brain album is better, listen to that album instead. I'm probably missing the cultural significance of this album.

7/10. The king of noodling. Just a good funky album from a funky dude. The white man's Santana, if you will.

8.5+/10. Beautiful album. Beautiful voice. So much sorrow and emotion packed into 40 minutes, what an album.

3/10. Meh album. I'm just not a big S&G fan and this is far from their best.

7.5/10. Incredible voice. Iconic artist. Great soulful album. Contemporary of Aretha Franklin and The Rolling Stones and it shows.
