Strong 4.5
I LOVED this.
I would probably give this 5 stars if it didn’t have a slide whistle featured and Desolation Row was slightly shorter. I just can’t hold on for that long. Strong 4.5
Right down the middle. Strong 2.5
I used to really like this album and it is for sure a sound of the time. It’s still good, but on relisten, I think I’m too old. Just didn’t hit the same :(
This is a strong 4.5 star album for me. Rounding up for the sake of the group.
It was fine. Not my favorite. Weak 3.
This album is good. It’s a bold choice to start an album with a 6/8 breakdown in the middle of it, and it somehow doesn’t sound like we’re at the Renaissance fair. This is a strong 3.5/light 4 star album for me. Far better than just a middle of the road, but I’m not sure I can give it a 4. Gotta think about it more.
Good album. Not my fave Radiohead choice.
2.5. Parts were fun. Tracks are too long and I know too much about Jay-Z now.
Ok so this is a perfect 2 star. It doesn’t make me want to listen to it, but I don’t want to give myself a lobotomy to put me out of my misery. I can turn this on and ignore it. Will never be something I actively choose to listen to but not the most offensive thing I’ve heard.
3.5
This just made me wish I was listening to Pure Heroine. Went and read all your reviews and also agreed that some of these songs sound like they could’ve been made for anyone else. With that said, it’s still Lorde and I’m still giving it a 4.
Nightswimming is an incredible song. Loved this album. That’s all.
I mean I’m familiar with this album by tracks but I’ve never sat down and listened to the whole thing in one sitting. Loved it more. I know Polly was a single and all but it felt weird having people cheer for that song while knowing what it’s about (queasy emoji just in case this doesn’t pop up 🥴).
My bias is showing. There’s no way I could give this anything but a 5. My aunt was a very cool lady. She loved this album. Got to listen to this while spending time outside on a warm spring day. Reminds me of her. It’s perfect.
I could not finish as it was not good.
I’m back with a strong 3.5 bb So this is just kind of a sad album knowing about Amy. If you aren’t familiar with the lack of support she had in her addictions to both drugs and alcohol AND her eating disorder, it’s like it didn’t matter as long as she could get on stage and make that money. And what makes it all worse is that it has Mark Ronson stamped all over it. With that said, I still have a soft spot for this album. I will always love Tears Dry On Their Own. It’s just so good. Love is a Losing Game is so much better in its original state with the acoustic guitar, but it’s way overproduced on this album. Everything is overproduced for a lady who just didn’t need it. Ugh.
4.5. I like the car song.
3.5 stars leaning toward 3.
I needed this listen. This was fun.
Couple bops on here. Sounds like it was made while making Kid A but not as good because it was. I’m glad they didn’t stick all of this on that album. Also why another Morning Bell?! That song is so good. Didn’t like this version though.
