Let's Stay Together
Al Greensolid 4.3 out of 5. some of the tracks seem to meld, but it starts off and finishes strong, hitting a couple high notes on its way there.

i'm not the biggest nu-metal fan, so this album wasn't something i would choose for myself, but I can see the appeal it held in the 2000s. some of the tracks seemed to blend together for me, but my personal favorite was "cure for the itch."
no words are needed. amazing album. full of funky, fresh synthy jazz.
indie electronica? yes please
early beatles is always a fun time. maybe not a sophisticated time, but definitely a fun one.
interesting use of non-traditional instruments in the album. although, truth be told, his voice seems out of place more than i'd like to admit.
solid album. ideal for rainy days or coffee shops in oregon.
i love the music. really don't vibe with the concept part of the "concept album."
i thought the album only had one bop, but i was proved wrong
Would I have listened to this on my own? No. Did I enjoy listening to Sufi devotional music? Yes. Would I listen to it again? Probably not, but never say never.
Loved the album, but the last track really sucks you out of the experience. Still, would listen to again.
I expected nothing less than the best from pne of the biggest pop stars of all time.
This album tried to be satirical and avant-garde, and for me, it missed both. Sure, a couple of the lyrics were pithy, and there were some head-nodding melodies. But I think it became experimental for the sake of being experimental towards the end of the album.
a staple of the folk rock scene. lovely album from start to finish.
honky-tonk beatlesque soft-rock? yes please
if I hear "paradise city" one more time... but in all seriousness, I think the overplayedness of three of the tracks really took me out of it because I'd heard them all the time, especially growing up with my dad in charge of the AUX. other than that, "my Michelle" is a bop, and slash is a musical genius.
funky fresh.
kathleen hanna strikes again
was this influential for country-rock? absolutely. did I want to listen to a man talk about choosing the Christian life for nearly three minutes? no.
love the bluesy quality. his vocals ruin it for me every time.
i never expected a song about alabama to go so hard.
who am i, a human, to not like jazz?
lovely jazz album. norah's voice is like milk and honey.
some definite bops. i like how it was experimental, but at times, i was lost in its sauce.
definitely experimental, but i vibed with it.
i could definitely see myself raving to this music but i might mix it first.
great concept album and definitely haunting at times. however, i'm a bigger fan of transformer ☺️
very nu-wave synthy punk vibes!
can't go wrong with B.B. King
not the infamous date rape 😞
and they say there's no good music these days...
i love lenny kravitz. this album doesn't do anything spectacular, but does infuse some acoustic soul rock into your day.
definitely more somber than expected, but a solid hit from the 90s
couldn't listen to the whole album, but his voice melds well with the instruments to create a rock-and-roll R&B mix suitable for a 50s audience
