L.A. Woman by The Doors
Sep 19 2023

Funkier than expected. Only knew riders on the storm beforehand.

Gorillaz by Gorillaz
Sep 20 2023

Confusing genre definition, swaps between grunge, rock, lofi, hiphop, rap. 19-2000 and Clint Eastwood are clearly written as hits and disrupt the flow of the album. Repetitive melodies within the songs.

Raising Hell by Run-D.M.C.
Sep 22 2023

MCing has come a long way. Like the instrumentation and appreiciate it's importance to HipHop and modern music. Funny to hear the origin of NWH and Lonely Island

Brothers by The Black Keys
Sep 24 2023

Meh not my bag 2

London Calling by The Clash
Sep 25 2023

I like the sound but it's very repetitive. All the songs sound like I fought the law

The Man Machine by Kraftwerk
Sep 26 2023

The origins of electronic, owe a lot to this sound. Catchy I like it

Sep 27 2023

As far as dreary Brit Rock Pop goes, it's better than most, but not for me.

Diamond Life by Sade
Sep 28 2023

Smooth operator is surprisingly one of the weaker songs on this album! Great flow and really funky. Frankie's first affair and Cherry Pie were some highlights

Shaft by Isaac Hayes
Sep 29 2023

Hella funky.

Forever Changes by Love
Oct 01 2023

Quite mature but not brave enough for me

Illmatic by Nas
Nov 09 2023

Best flowing and clear rapper I've heard. Uncensored so actually speaks truthfully about subjects. Enjoyed it despite my judgements

Duck Rock by Malcolm McLaren
Nov 10 2023

Love the radio bits and can see why it introduced hip-hop and scratching to the mainstream.

Moving Pictures by Rush
Nov 11 2023

Prog rock for people that don't like prog rock

Red Headed Stranger by Willie Nelson
Nov 12 2023

Great voice and emotion. Fantastic instrumental

Scott 4 by Scott Walker
Nov 13 2023

Meh, he can clearly sing but it's missing something. Like bond ballads that never get there.

Green River by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Nov 14 2023

Thought I'd hate but it's alright, bit samey

Station To Station by David Bowie
Feb 22 2024

I don't get Bowie and still don't. Is it 'quirky' music for the masses? Do I need to be on drugs? It sparks nothing inside me

Endtroducing..... by DJ Shadow
Feb 24 2024

Nice groovy chill instrumentals. Pretty good

Femi Kuti by Femi Kuti
Feb 25 2024

The sax sure is saxy. A real snarky puppy bug band jazz sound 5

The Score by Fugees
Feb 26 2024

Too laid back, never gets going

Live And Dangerous by Thin Lizzy
Feb 27 2024

What a brilliant live album. Must have been amazinig to see in concert. Suprisingly the BSides which I didn't know were my favourites. Emerald/Massacre/Still in love/Sha-la-la were some highlights. The band had a much funkier sound in the B Sides. Some of the best guitar playing and riffs I've heard as well as a great sound mix.

noise

Golden Hour by Kacey Musgraves
Mar 01 2024

Very enojyable. Modern country done right, lovely voice and some nice musicla quirks without overpowering a country roots. 5

Talking Book by Stevie Wonder
Mar 02 2024

I prefer the heavier funk over the overly vocal songs. SW is very talented, I just prefer some stanky funk instrumentals. 4

Foo Fighters by Foo Fighters
Mar 07 2024

Ashamed I didn't know the origins of FF. Grohl is obviuosly very talented to self produce in 6 days but a few songs are too grungey for me, a few good rock/riffs in there. 4

Vincebus Eruptum by Blue Cheer
Mar 08 2024

Alright for something recorded in a swamp. Good instrumentation, lackluster songwriting
