Hot Fuss
The Killers
Track 1 - Jenny Was A Friend --- i like it, it's boppy and it has an interesting concept.
Track 2 - Mr Brightside --- i mean it's iconic we all know this song
Track 3 - Smile Like You Mean It -- I like the instrumental, apparently written in 8 mins (as per genius) so that's impressive
Track 4 - Somebody Told Me -- boppy, but i've never gotten the lyrics of this lol
Track 5 - All These Things I've Done -- a little more boring to me
Track 6 - Andy, You're A Star -- this is kinda hilariously sarcastic, honestly olivia rodrigo's lacy's brother...p.s the music kinda cool
Track 7 - On Top -- interesting sound, almost electronic-ish, but not my favourite.
Track 8 - Glamorous Indie Rock and Roll -- didn't like this one very much
Track 10 - Believe Me Natalie -- not loving this one, but the instrumental is ok and the chorus picked up a bit.
Track 11 - Midnight Show -- boppy, but why is brandon always writing about murder...kinda weird jk. real cool guitar riff.
Track 12 - Everything Will Be Alright -- interesting sound. ok closer.

3. That’s Not Me - this one was nice and i liked the lyrics
4. Don’t Talk (Put Your Head on My Shoulder) - a little boring
5. I’m Waiting for the Day - the lyrics are a little unhinged jk and the outro is boppy

Adele
Hello - boring and overplayed so I really dislike it
Send My Love - it was ok I don’t love the style of music
I Miss You - I actually liked this one it reminded me a bit of her earlier stuff, thinking five mins is a bit long though
When We Were Young - did not like this one, felt like it was sampling something
Remedy - boring again sorry not sorry
Water Under the Bridge - didn’t mind it but again don’t love the style
River Lea - this one is kinda a bop actually
Love In The Dark - this again reminds me a little of her older stuff so I like it
Million Years Ago - straight away this reminds me of older music but I’m not hating it. Omg looked on genius and it uses the Phantom of the Opera as a melody, I kinda love it actually
All I Ask - not loving this one, not a very strong track
Sweetest Devotion - it was almost like an 80s power ballad I did not really like it

1. Move - it had a quick feel to it
2. Jeru - this one is a little slower
3. Moon Dreams - this one reminds me of a move, cinematic feel and ominous feel
4. Venus de Milo - this one was a little more upbeat and happier
5. Budo - even faster, feels fun and frantic
6. Deception - i like the name of this one it feels like it fits the music
7. Godchild - didn't have many thoughts

1. Zebra - I liked the sound of this one and lyrics
2. Silver Soul - I didn't love the sound of this one, it was a little slower and a bit repetitive.
3. Norway - this one was my favourite so far, i really liked the instrumental
4. Walk in the Park - i like the chorus on this one, it's a nice message and the instrumental is really catchy to me. the outro is really soothing.
5. Used to Be - i like this one it has a really hopeful feel to it despite talking about the past and growing up.
6. Lover of Mine - this one is ok, i don't love the lyrical style but the music is boppy
7. Better Times - i like this one it has an interesting sound, but one of those songs you need to be in the mood for.
8. 10 Mile Stereo - this one is quite boppy, it really builds the backing music
9. Real Love - i didn't love this one, kinda depressing for some reason.
10.Take Care - i liked the music on this one it was hopeful. however, don't love the lyrics
overall, it was a pleasant lesson but not sure it is something I'd listen to everyday.

Debut
Björk
1. Human Behaviour - definitely an interesting song...i like the music, i don't get the purpose of having gibberish sections?
2. Crying - got a really cool sound, and pretty boppy. I don't know why but the verses were giving me Lorde.
3. Venus as a Boy - I did not like this song very much.
4. There’s More to Life Than This - the music of this song is really boppy, it's giving like dance music, so that's cool. I did not like how after the first chorus it lost the instrumental and became kinda acapella?
5. Like Someone in Love - pretty ballady so didn't love it as the vocals were not it for me.
6. Big Time Sensuality - again the music is pretty poppy. it's like dance music.
7. One Day - it's got an interesting sound but not my favourite. Goes way too long imo.
8. Aeroplane - I can’t get over her weird vocal style tbh.
9. Come to Me - nice vibe and I really liked the music.
10. Violently Happy - interesting vocal effect. Again like the music.
11. The Anchor Song - this one is kinda jazzy not loving it and it doesn’t fit great in the album imo.
12. Play Dead - now this is a bop! Finally I feel like the music matches the tone of singing, the others had a weird juxtaposition.
Overall, I didn’t mind it and it’s quite cool that she uses house and electronic elements but I also just don’t love her vocal style and her lyrics don’t really resonate with me.
Also hot take she kinda reminds me of Lorde…

Harvest
Neil Young
1. Out on the Weekend - it’s not too bad, harmonica solo…I like the music but feel like it could go a bit harder or faster.
2. Harvest - I don’t like this one very much it’s giving more country than rock.
3. A Man Needs a Maid - piano driven I actually quite like the musical style of this one but the lyrics are a little weak for me. It really snapped in the last min of the song.
4. Heart of Gold - this one is pretty good I can see why it was a hit.
5. Are You Ready for the Country - again it’s very country influenced so don’t love it, I liked the lyrics in the second verse though.
6. Old Man - I actually like this one it’s got a nice theme to it, the music and lyrics are good.
7. There’s a World - this one has really dramatic songs, don’t love it but I appreciate trying to do something different. It sounds like musical theatre or like cinematic score to me.
8. Alabama - finally hearing some electric guitar so it’s more rocky to me. And much boppier. Actually I kinda love this one just read the lyrics and it’s criticising Alabamas racism! I’m a sucker for that
9. The Needle and the Damage Done - I didn’t mind this one, not that memorable.
10. Words (Between the Lines of Age) - I don’t mind this one again the sound is much closer to the kind of rock I like. Not sure it needs to be 6 mins long.
Overall I didn’t mind this one done off the songs were a little too country tinted for me. I liked the rockier ones but also I don’t love his style of writing lyrics that much, some are a little pretentious.

2. Water of Love - this one is a little more mellow, not as much my style.
3. Setting Me Up - this one was more upbeat again, I didn't mind it.
4. Six Blade Knife - I really enjoyed the instrumental and melody of this one, but I don't love the singing style in this one it's a little slurry.
5. Southbound Again - not very memorable but it sounded ok.
6. Sultans of Swing - this one has a really cool sound and immediately caught my attention. it's very boppy.
7. In the Gallery - it has an interesting sound and I like the instrumental, but not very memorable for me.
8. Wild West End - this one was ok, it kinda gave a bit of a western vibe at times.
9. Lions - this one is pretty boppy, I like it, it's got a bit more of a darker sound to me, but it works.
Overall, I like the sound of this band and I like the 70s style rock, but not sure if it would be something I listen to everyday.

Blood On The Tracks
Bob Dylan
1. Tangled Up in Blue - i did enjoy the story of this one, and it definitely is keeping my attention.
2. Simple Twist of Fate - i kinda like the theme of this song.
3. You’re a Big Girl Now - this one was a little more boring, the lyrics didn't capture me
4. Idiot Wind - this one is ok, it's a bit more upbeat but the way he says idiot is annoying me lol. PS 7 minute song, it's a bit much.
5. You’re Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go -
6. Meet Me in the Morning - this one is a little repetitive.
7. Lily, Rosemary and the Jack of Hearts - almost 9 mins! I don't mind the melody of this one, and appreciate trying to tell a long-running story but it's a little too long to keep my attention.
8. If You See Her, Say Hello - nice theme, very slow to me.
9. Shelter from the Storm - this one was ok, pretty similar to the others.
10. Buckets of Rain - this one is a little different style more acoustic guitar rather than harmonica.
Overall the songs had really interesting structure to me since a lot of the songs did not have choruses and were all verses. Seems to have a very strong emphasis on lyrics. He also has an interesting vocal style to me, I think it works for his style but it is very distinct.
Honestly a lot of the songs on this album sound very similar, so it's cohesive I guess, but it gets a little samey same.

3 Years, 5 Months And 2 Days In The Life Of...
Arrested Development
1. Man’s Final Frontier - definitely think the sound is really good and still pretty fresh.
2. Mama’s Always On Stage - it’s actually kinda a bop…
3. People Everyday - it’s ok wasn’t my favourite.
4. Blues Happy - interlude
5. Mr. Wendal - I like the rapping style
In this one, it’s kinda soothing.
6. Children Play With Earth - the sound of this one is interesting it’s got some different elements. The hook isn’t great.
7. Raining Revolution - this one has an interesting flow, I quite like it.
8. Fishin’ 4 Religion - has a very house/dance vibe to me which is kinda cool.
9. Give a Man a Fish - not my favourite.
10. U - this one is very cool it has a really quick beat.
11. Eve of Reality - another interlude
12. Natural - “everything has to be natural” feels shaming.
13. Dawn of the Dreads - this one has a very cool sound, especially the base.
14. Tennessee - quite catchy, especially the chorus.
15. Washed Away - good closer it’s more slow.
It flows really well each song into the next. I don’t mind it but it’s definitely a different style of hip hop than I’m used to but the beats were kinda boppy and dandy at times. HOWEVER, the lyrics are very preachy…it’s a lot of coming across as being better than others. Like I appreciate some of the themes of the songs but it is kinda preachy…

1984

3. Panama - this one had a good beat and was boppy
4. Top Jimmy - I didn't mind this one
5. Drop Dead Legs - this one had a really cool guitar solo at the end which I liked.
6. Hot for Teacher - I don't love this one, but the beat and guitar is pretty cool.
7. I’ll Wait - I like the synths in this one and it's kinda a bop.
8. Girl Gone Bad - I really like the sound of this one too.
9. House of Pain - this one has a bit more of a metal tinge to it, but still sounds ok.
Overall, I actually quite liked the sound of almost all of them, I don't love the lyrics and lead vocalist but the music made up for it. I also really love the guitar solos - (go eddie van halen)

Live At Leeds
The Who
1. Heaven And Hell - I like the melody and beat. Nice bass riff. The never die is catchy.
2. I Can’t Explain - this one is kinda a little 60s with backing vocals and corny lol. But it’s catchy.
3. Fortune Teller - this one was pretty upbeat and I liked its sound
4. Tattoo - this one is a little slower so it’s not my favourite.
5. Young Man Blues - I don't love the lyrics of this one and the singing style is not my favourite, again the music and sound is good.
6. Substitute - I don't mind this one, it's kinda poppy to me. I liked the lyrics too (apart from the "I look white but my dad was black", cause I'm confused...)
7. Happy Jack - I don't love the style of this one.
8. I’m a Boy - now this one has weird lyrics...don't love it.
9. A Quick One, While He’s Away - a mini opera, so that's interesting. it has a weird story imo, but interesting structure.
10. Amazing Journey/Sparks - i liked the second half better, but it wasn't very capturing for me.
11. Summertime Blues - not very memorable.
12. Shakin’ All Over - i don't like the way this one is sung and i find it a littel repetitive, did not love.
13. My Generation - this one was like a medley of four songs. I didn't mind My Generation, it had fun lyrics. See Me, Feel Me, Touch Me, was ok it kinda gave me power ballad vibes. I did not like Higher aka Naked Eye. Coming out to get you had a cool sound.
14. Magic Bus - this one was ok, not my favourite. Got crazy fast at the end that was cool!
Overall, it definitely was interesting listening to a live album. I wonder why this was in the 1001 albums, I kinda feel like it may have been easier to put a greatest hits or something, but overall I enjoyed it enough. I liked most of the music, very classic rock and I liked a lot of the guitar riffs. The rock opera was interesting...

Roxy Music
1. Do the Strand - I like the music but the lyrics were a little odd. An ok sound.
2. Beauty Queen - this one is kinda a ballad a bit, not my favourite.
3. Strictly Confidential - I don’t love the sound of this one and singing style…
4. Editions of You - very interesting style, almost electro pop at times
5. In Every Dream Home a Heartache - very slow and eerie feel, but I like the lyrics and the style of singing it’s a cool sound.
6. The Bogus Man - pretty upbeat, lots of saxophones, an ok sound
7. Grey Lagoons - Elton-esque, not too bad
8. For Your Pleasure - it was an ok closer a little long dragged a bit
Overall I don’t mind the style of the band and I actually think it’s quite innovative for the time, and not that dated. But it wasn’t really my style.

On The Beach
Neil Young
1. Walk On - I don't mind the sound of this one, and I like the lyrical theme.
2. See the Sky About to Rain - I like the sound of this one, it's calming. I think I may have heard it before, it sounds familiar.
3. Revolution Blues - this one is pretty upbeat and rocky. according to genius, it's a commentary on the Charles Manson murders, so that's interesting.
4. For the Turnstiles - don't love this one, it's a bit more stripped back and country-ish.
5. Vampire Blues - I don't mind this one.
6. On the Beach - I don't mind the sound of this one, it's pretty slow but it works. 7 mins is a little long.
7. Motion Pictures (For Carrie) - a little slow and I don't love the harmonica.
8. Ambulance Blues - a little too long and I don't love the sound.
Overall, it's a pretty consistent album and easy to listen to. And I think I probably like the lyrics a bit better on this one than Harvest but I like the musical style of Harvest more for his voice.

1. Synchronicity I --- A full on BOP!!

1. Sunday Morning - i liked this one it had a nice mellow sound

3. Femme Fatale - I did not like this one, the lyrics were odd and the sound was not that great for me.
4. Venus in Furs - I kinda liked this one, it had more my kind of lyrics.
5. Run Run Run - this one was ok...i did not like the guitar solo in the airpods it sounded static-like or distorted, I think it's a sound quality issue.
6. All Tomorrow’s Parties - this one was also not my type of sound.
7. Heroin - i actually like the sound of this one, but again I really don't like the lyrics, i don't want to hear about heroin so i knew i'd hate this one from the title.
8. There She Goes Again - again not loving the lyrics...the music is catchy. I'd like to note this song goes for 2:41 so what's all this about short songs being a new thing for the tiktok generation.
9. I’ll Be Your Mirror - 2:14!!!! also another nico feature, i just don't like the way she sounds.
10. The Black Angel’s Death Song - this one has quite an interesting sound, it's eerie which fits the theme
11. European Son - weird sound effect of crashing, it kinda worked. now the tempo's faster so that's kinda cool. the rest of the song is instrumental and it's seven minutes long...
overall, i appreciate parts of this album, some parts are ok and the overall sound is nice for me. I don't like the lyrics of many of the songs and I think it is the feature of nico where I do not like the vocals.

1. Broken Skin - this is actually quite a bop, a little r&b to me
2. Letting Go - I’m not minding this one either, it’s quite soothing.

10. Nostalgia - I like the lyrics of this one.
11. The Conference - another instrumental :(
12. Beyond Skin - was not expecting an Oppenheimer reference…interesting closer
Overall I appreciate the diversity of the album and the fact that it has a clear theme and some of the songs were quite soothing to me, but probably won’t revisit it.

Elbow
1. Starlings - I didn't love how long it took for it to start, the lyrics are ok but don't love the way the singer sounds. It has an interesting ending.
2. The Bones of You - I like this one a bit better, it's more interesting and keeps my attention better. Interesting theme. I quite like the chorus.
3. Mirrorball - this one has an ok sound, a little simpler. Nice lyrics but not my style.
4. Grounds for Divorce - this one almost has a little bit of a country sound to me, but i like the sound it's more upbeat.
5. An Audience with the Pope - again an interesting sound, i liked the piano at the start.
6. Weather to Fly - this one has a soothing sound and nice cadence to it, but not my style.
7. The Loneliness of a Tower Crane Driver - interesting theme again, but it's also been done already on the album...is it a little one note?
8. The Fix - again a different style to some of the other songs, actually kinda interesting style. like it almost sounds old-timey to me.
9. Some Riot - very spare music in this one, not my favourite. a little boring to me sorry.
10. One Day Like This - i like the music in this one. sounds cinematic and dramatic.
11. Friend of Ours - very slow song, ok as a closer but a little boring.
Overall, I don't mind the album and there are some cool sounds and different styles within it which i think is cool, but I really don't think this kind of music is my style. I don't love the way the singer sounds and for me that is a pretty big thing for liking a musical style.

1. Albatross - I do not like the way this one is sung at all and the lyrics, the instrumental is interesting. Also ten minutes and it doesn't really change or evolve that much to me.
2. Memories - this one was a bit better since it was more exciting, but didn't love it.
3. Swan Lake - interesting lyrics.
4. Poptones - this one is creeping me out, the music is like eerie and the lyrics not feeling it.
5. Careering - interesting sound, but not loving it.
6. No Birds - not loving it.
7. Graveyard - i like the music in this one a bit more than others.
8. The Suit - I hate the way the vocals are sung in this one, not pleasant to me, instant skip for me.
9. Bad Baby - same as the others, not my style.
10. Socialist - again I actually really like the sound of this one and since its an instrumental don't have to deal with the vocals haha
11. Chant - not my style.
12. Radio 4 - ending it with an instrumental, it's actually quite nice sounding for me.
I didn't really like this very much although I recognise its impact...I knew when it said post-punk on wikipedia I was probably not going to since punk is one of my least favourite genres. I appreciate the music and production but it's not my style and I don't connect with the lyrics or the singing style. PS I find the actual vocals so difficult to hear with the guitars on some songs which is something I hate in music (could be my settings on my earphones/spotify)

11. Little One - i really like the sound of this one, it's pretty upbeat.

I didn't mind the album, acoustic songs aren't my favourite unless I really love the lyrics which they did not connect for me. His vocal tones kinda remind me of grunge a bit

1. Teen Age Riot - weird intro but I liked it once it started the verse and the music is good.
2. Silver Rocket -i didn't mind the sound of this one.
3. The Sprawl - pretty aggressive...but it has an ok sound, but way too long.
4. ’Cross the Breeze - a bit more mellow sounding, although it got more aggresive. very long instrumental to start with and end with.
5. Eric’s Trip - interesting sound, don't love the singing.
6. Total Trash - similar sound, it's ok
7. Hey Joni - not what I expected from the name, i thought it would be less upbeat. I kinda like it.
8. Providence - did not like the start of this one so I skipped.
9. Candle - didn't like the melody in this one or singing style.
10. Rain King - this one is giving me urgency, very fast sounding. It's also a bit creepy and aggressive...don't love it.
11. Kissability - interesting theme about fame and its underbelly, but don't like the sound of it.
12. Trilogy - Split into three on Spotify...
(a) wonder - sounds like a scratching record or pitchy, not pleasant
(b) hyperstation - similar to the others
(c) eliminator jr - weird, do not like it
I listened to this really late so didn't give it my full attention...maybe will revisit most of the songs were ok for me but not like something I would seek out. Does seem like there are way too many 7 min songs.
I prefer the male singer to the female singer.

The Doors
1. Roadhouse Blues - sounds very 70s with the harmonica. Not too bad.
2. Waiting for the Sun - I’ve heard this before, one of their famous ones. I like it, it’s pretty pleasant for me. Like the verses better than chorus.
3. You Make Me Real - kinda catchy, but not liked his singing in the other two better. I like the piano.
4. Peace Frog - interesting instrumental, sounds really upbeat to me.
5. Blue Sunday - pretty different from the others, but i don’t mind it, definitely not very rocky.
6. Ship of Fools - don’t love this one, it’s not my style.
7. Land Ho! - I like the instrumental but the lyrical styles a little like country almost or something.
8. The Spy - this one is kinda bluesy, not loving it. A bit too slow.
9. Queen of the Highway - I actually quite like this one’s style.
10. Indian Summer - a little slow for me.
11. Maggie M’Gill - I like the guitar in this one, it sounds cool.
I’ve never really listened to the Doors before so wasn’t sure what to expect but I quite liked some songs, maybe will explore some other stuff. Some of them were not that rocky which was surprising.

Fiona Apple
1. Sleep To Dream - I liked this one, especially the lyrics. The piano at the end was cool.
2. Sullen Girl - I liked the style of this one, especially the outro. Really sad though so need to be in the mood for it.
3. Shadowboxer - I like the prechorus “no reverence to my concern” it flows well. Interesting style a little bluesy
4. Criminal - of course I know criminal, a bop. I really like the outro.
5. Slow Like Honey - I really like the sound of this one, it’s kinda calming but also kinda builds.
6. The First Taste - wow kinda a bop.
7. Never is a Promise - I don’t mind this one, a little slower than some of the others. I like the theme of it though.
8. The Child is Gone - I kinda like the sound of this one, but one of the weaker tracks imo.
9. Pale September - this has a really cool sound.
10. Carrion - I like this one, it’s cool how the music changes throughout and it really goes off at the end.
I actually really liked most of the songs on this, I feel like being piano driven really helped the lyrics. It’s insane to me that she wrote all of these alone..so good! I like the kind of bluesy pop sound and actually really liked her vocals too.

Another Green World
Brian Eno
1. Sky Saw - an interesting sound, but I didn’t live the lyrics.
2. Over Fire Island - I don’t love instrumentals but it was an ok sound.
3. St. Elmo’s Fire - it’s got a unique sound, I like the guitar solo.
4. In Dark Trees - a very ominous sound for me, another instrumental
5. The Big Ship - this sounds a bit more hopeful to me, so I like that but it’s another instrumental
6. I’ll Come Running - I actually don’t mind this one.
7. Another Green World - another instrumental.
8. Sombre Reptiles - this one sounds a bit more low but exciting, another instrumental.
9. Little Fishes - flowed well from the last one, much more mellow a little different sounding, instrumental.
10. Golden Hours - sounds a little electronic almost which is cool for the 70s, sounds pretty innovative for the time.
11. Becalmed - kinda soothing instrumental
12. Zawinul/Lava - nice piano instrumental
13. Everything Merges with the Night - kinda liked the lyrics and sound.
14. Spirits Drifting - sounds kinda ethereal so it’s an interesting note to end it
Overall, I didn’t mind the sound of it but I didn’t think it was that great. I don’t love when albums have a lot of instrumentals, I think that’s better for interludes. I also looked it up and didn’t realise he was also in Roxy music which I had an album earlier that I didn’t really like that much either.
Interesting to see the impact he had on music though.

The Cars
The Cars
1. Good Times Roll - kinda catchy I like the beat, a little repetitive though.
2. My Best Friend’s Girl - didn’t mind this one, a little cheesy. Almost a little 60s with the harmonies.
3. Just What I Needed - I like the sound of his one, it’s pretty catchy and the guitar riff is cool.
4. I’m in Touch with Your World - I don’t like this one as much. The music in the chorus sounds like a video game to me.
5. Don’t Cha Stop - I don’t mind this one, but not my favourite either.
6. You’re All I’ve Got Tonight - similar to the last one for me. I like the guitar solo near the end.
7. Bye Bye Love - hearing a lot of almost 80s style here (before it was big)
8. Moving in Stereo - a little less upbeat, I like this style and I like the lyrics of this one.
9. All Mixed Up - interesting sound, it’s kinda frantic
Overall, I liked the sound of the album, its almost a little electronic mixed with the guitar at times which is cool. a little odd singing style sometimes for me.

Arthur (Or the Decline and Fall of the British Empire)
The Kinks
1. Victoria - weird singing style for me. The music is ok.
2. Yes Sir, No Sir - interesting concept for a song.
3. Some Mother’s Son - not that memorable.
4. Drivin’ - this one was ok, very 60s pop to me.
5. Brainwashed - I like the instrumental of this one and it’s sound, esp guitar.
6. Australia - did not love this one,
7. Shangri-La - the second half is kinda boppy. Interesting lyrics
8. Mr. Churchill Says - this one had bits I liked.
9. She’s Bought a Hat Like Princess Marina - this one is weird to me.
10. Young and Innocent Days - not that memorable
11. Nothing to Say - I liked this one
12. Arthur - good closer
Overall didn’t live the style of singing, but I always like a concept album. Sometimes I really liked the music and how it changed but other times it wasn’t that memorable

Microshift
Hookworms
1. Negative Space - interesting choice for the sound, very electronic or something, intro goes a little long for my liking. I appreciate the build-up but probably could got there quicker. don't mind the lyrics and it's actually kind of a bop.
2. Static Resistance - this one is also quite boppy, i like it.
3. Ullswater - I really like the sound of this one too, reading what it's about (his father's alzheimers) is also super interesting to me and the lyrics def reflect that and it's actually heartbreaking.
4. The Soft Season - interesting sound (crackling and splashing), i didn't mind this one, liked the others better
5. Opener - again the intro went for a little long for me and not a pleasant sound, it built up and I liked the sound of it mostly, but a little too long.
6. Each Time We Pass - sounds like birds chirping in the background, which I don't love.
7. Boxing Day - this one is a really interesting sound, it's a little experimental with that sound that shows up in the song, it's not that pleasant for me, well...that ended abruptly.
8. Reunion - an instrumental, it was ok since it was only one in the whole album and makes sense after the 'loudness' of the previous song, but not a fan of instrumentals.
9. Shortcomings - i like the sound of this one, it's a bop.
Overall, I really like the sound of this band and the songs imo are pretty unique and i like their lyrics and music. I don't really get the track lengths, some are super long and then some are like 2 mins, would have liked some consistency, but surprisingly one of my favourites was the Ullswater which went for about 7 mins. I also really like the writing style and the stuff they are writing about is really interesting and not as talked about in music, so that's interesting.
looking into it apparently the band split up because MJ had allegations of abuse...that's very disappointing.

Another Music In A Different Kitchen
Buzzcocks
1. Fast Cars - i don't mind the chorus and I like the guitar, but don't love the singing style.
2. No Reply - don't like this one much, a bit repetitive for me.
3. You Tear Me Up - this one is ok, listenable but again the singing style is not for me.
4. Get on Our Own - this one is a little less pure punk but still don't like it much.
5. Love Battery - this one has an ok sound, the lyrics are a little odd.
6. Sixteen - weird again...do not like it, skipped.
7. I Don’t Mind - it's got an ok instrumental, but do not like it much.
8. Fiction Romance - didn't care for this one.
9. Autonomy - this one was ok, but a got a bit samey towards the end
10. I Need - just ok.
11. Moving Away from the Pulsebeat - at least this one was a little different, so appreciate that, although 7 mins meant it dragged a lot for me
Overall, I don't really like punk so didn't really like this, not for me at all. I don't think they did anything groundbreaking (although I did read they were an early punk band, so maybe it was?) and really don't like their singing style. I ended up skipping a few because it got to be a bit much for me and it's a lot of the same sound, not much diversity for me. and like the songs go for like 2 mins, but it's still too long for me lol...

The Downward Spiral
Nine Inch Nails
1. Mr. Self Destruct - very loud and heavy production, not loving it.
2. Piggy - i don't mind this one as much, it's less loud and i like the vocals.
3. Heresy - it's an ok sound
4. March of the Pigs - this one is a little less industrial.
5. Closer - i do not like the lyrics very much at all, so I skipped.
6. Ruiner - I like the sound of this one more.
7. The Becoming - didn't really like this one.
8. I Do Not Want This - don't mind this one, but a little long
9. Big Man with a Gun - again i dislike the lyrics and sound
10. A Warm Place - this was a nice break from the aggressive sound and it did well to break it up.
11. Eraser - skipped
12. Reptile - skipped
13. The Downward Spiral - skipped
14. Hurt - i didnt mind this one.
Overall, it's an interesting sound but not my style, it's a little too loud and aggressive for me (which I know industrial sounds are) but some of them were ok and definitely very influential. the lyrics also don't resonate with me at all. towards the end i got sick of it, not for me.

Hybrid Theory
Linkin Park
1. Papercut - i kinda like this one.
2. One Step Closer - this one was ok
3. With You - i kinda liked this one
4. Points of Authority - not my favourite
5. Crawling - i like the sound of the intro and the verses, don't love the chorus.
6. Runaway - this one is ok too.
7. By Myself - not that memorable for me
8.In the End - obviously have heard this before, one of their hits.
9. A Place for My Head - i quite liked this one, the verses were interesting and worked well with the chorus.
10. Forgotten - this was ok, but not my favourite.
11. Cure for the Itch - interesting sound, a little different to the other songs, especially since it was mostly instrumental.
12. Pushing Me Away - i actually really like the lyrics of this one, one of my faves on the album.
Overall, I don't mind this album but some of the songs were a little screamy for me, but enjoyed when he sang in a different style (often on verses) and think he had a good voice. I liked the sound of a lot of them and the music, the lyrics were ok too, but I don't always like the singing style. I also didn't realise there was a bit of a rap influence on some of them, so that was interesting.

Murmur
R.E.M.
1. Radio Free Europe - this one was ok
2. Pilgrimage - didn’t really care for this one
3. Laughing - didn’t mind the sound of this one.
4. Talk About the Passion - just ok
5. Moral Kiosk - this one is a little more interesting
6. Perfect Circle -
7. Catapult -
8. Sitting Still -
9. 9-9 -
10. Shaking Through -
11. We Walk -
12. West of the Fields -
Overall, I didn’t mind this album, definitely very consistent and listenable but it didn’t really wow me though. The singing style gets a little tiring since it’s a little monotone for me.

Destroyer
KISS
1. Detroit Rock City - random intro but the actual song was ok pretty boppy.
2. King of the Night Time World - interesting transition from the previous song.
3. God of Thunder - I don’t really like the way this one is sung, the music is ok.
4. Great Expectations - I didn’t like the lyrics of this one or the sound at all really.
5. Flaming Youth - not too bad but don’t love it.
6. Sweet Pain - not great I liked the guitar tho
7. Shout It Out Loud - I had heard this one before, not too bad pretty catchy.
8. Beth - I heard this in Glee lol…didn’t like it then or now haha…wasn’t coming here for ballads
9. Do You Love Me - I don’t actually mind the chorus of this one, it’s not too bad.
10. Rock and Roll Party - instrumental.
I hadn’t really listened to kiss apart from their hits so it was interesting for me. It wasn’t too bad, definitely the sound I was expecting so wasn’t too shocked. I don’t love the singing style but it’s good for what it is, definitely influential.
