1001 Albums Summary

I enjoyed the album. Outside of the 2-3 tracks that are super well known, nothing really "stuck" but the fact that it has 2-3 super popular tracks is really strong

Strong album, a lot more up my alley. A lot of this sounds like something that would have came out 10 years later, so it's easy to see the impact it made.

This was a lot of ska, ska punk? Ska rock? There were trumpets. It was okay.

it's a nice, quiet album. reminds me of wilco. kinda wish there was some tracks that were a bit more uptempo but I can see that's not what adam granduciel was aiming for in the album

Really goes to show how a timeless track sounds timeless when most of the other tracks on the album feel intrinsically dated to the 60s, but My Generation feels like it came out a few years ago. Not to say 60s rock is bad, it's quite nice

Probably one of my favorite albums. Two absolute bangers, followed by a mellow comedown track, followed by probably one of Black Sabbath's most famous songs. Phenomenal

It's a country album made before 9/11, which makes it enjoyable because it's blues rather than "my truck and my beer, stand for the flag die for the cross" type of country. I miss when country artists wrote "this tool kills fascists" on their guitars.

Now this is my jam. Smooth funky beats make you feel warm in your chest and move on your feet. Just like drinking a cup of... well... Hot Buttered Soul

I've never really understood the way they sing their vocals on songs. I gotta be careful driving when they're playing since I could fall asleep

The stylings of punk in a very early album. Quite nice.
