I didn’t know anything about The Band before this, but now I know a few things about The Band. Liked this album, loved the cover of Long Black Veil. Easy listening but not my favorite music.

Old Friends was such a hit for me. Never heard this album before and haven’t been so touched by emotion from music in a long while. How they captured the optimism and desolate nature of living in NYC was masterful. Perfect demonstration of a duo exploring the depths of their creativity and the feeling of all the possibility ahead of them.

Loved it.

Upbeat and defining of the sound of the 50s, had never heard Buddy Holly before but understand why he is so famous now.

Dan was so happy.

Definitely a precursor to the Violent Femmes, cool to find
