1001 Albums Summary

1989. I was a freshman in high school. I don’t remember this album, and as an almost 50 year old, one definitely has to be in the mood for it. I like it, but I’d like it better if I had time to listen in a better setting.

1985. Shout, Head Over Heels, Everybody Wants to Rule The World… Great songs. Josh: Wow.. that was the very first music I heard on CD and I will never forget it. I listened to that whole album. My friends older brother bought a cd player and it was in like 87.

1959. This album made me so happy! It was perfect, easy listening while I was working.

1997. The year Josh and I got together. Paris. Bitter Sweet Symphony.

2007. No. I couldn’t listen to this one. BPM too high for 430am and the songs didn’t get any better to me

Eh. It sounded like a nightmare to me. Chaotic. There were some songs that I could stomach for a minute, but couldn’t listen to the whole thing. I tried.

1999. Sounded more like late 80s early 90s, self published material. The first couple tracks just sounded like somebody got a new iMac and garage band and wanted to throw a bunch of stuff in it. But then I started to really enjoy HYPNOTISE and it got better after that. Probably wouldn’t buy the CD but because it kept my attention, it gets a 3

1975. This album sounds like the 70s music I remember growing up. To me, it SOUNDS like the 70s.

1981. I looooove the Go Gos. I remember singing their songs. Takes me back in time. Fun. Our Lips Are Sealed and We Got The Beat are songs I remember with fondness.

Made the mistake of starting this album at 4am. A little too rambunctious for that early. I remember WHERE ITS AT from this album.

1978. THE BOYS ARE BACK IN TOWN! Yes! Good vibes at 5am. I appreciate what I consider the 70s “sound”, unique vocals, electric guitar, bass, and drums. Doesn’t need a whole lot of clutter.

1980. At first I didn’t like it. Didn’t like the tempo and The loud treble sounds - snake and cymbals. I liked Breakin The Law. Not for me.

Second jazzy album that I don’t like. It’s too “tinny” and grates on my ears.

Great album. I used to run to a Bob Marley play list. Stopped running in 2018 when the doctor told me I needed anew knee. Hearing Three Little Birds brought back great memories. Also made me think of Hawaii and the movie 50 First Dates

Sounded like 1975! First song. The others were unique. Kind of a hodgepodge of feelings that the rest of the album elicited

I like Lauren Hill. Didn’t listen to this genre in the 90s

1983. This is the perfect example of 80s pop. I know most of the songs on the album and the ones I didn’t sounded familiar. 5 for nostalgia

1991. I love Bono’s vocals. This is a great album. The songs all sound like they belong together. Similar rhythms and style. Mysterious Ways, One, …Wild Horses. All good

2002. Sounds about 10 years before that. Ok, but not really my thing.

1987. I really like the sound of this album. It sounds like it could have been written to fit into a playlist of current music.

An album for after work. Funky and weird, and I like it. Good beats and sound effects.

Jazz I like. Songs on album sound very similar.

I like his voice. Odd mix of songs the album. Ethereal

Has a coffeehouse vibe. Not fond of his nasally voice but it’s a nice album for background music

GREAT album!!!1971 Classic

Angsty album. 1988. I know STAND. Song lyrics mostly don’t rhyme. I never use to “listen” to the song, lyrics above my head.
