1001 Albums Summary

Nothing spectacular. None of the songs grabbed my attention and stuck with me. Basically nice background music while working out. Made it to the 6th track.

The hits are there! About three of the songs were unknown to me. Not bad but they weren't anything special.

Not sure what I thought Elvis Costello's music would sound like but this wasn't it. Not bad but not my thing.

Made it 6 tracks in. My impression didn't change from the first track. Generic electronic pop. All sounds the same.

For some reason I associated the band name with a more rock vibe. It is more mellow than I expected. Nice chill album.

It had a vibe through out the whole album. However the only track that grabbed my attention was the first song.

Beautiful music. Lively, interesting and pretty. Enjoyed it.

Solid alternative rock. Got the groove, got the random pitch squeals, got the chorus hooks. Like it.

A beautiful chorus of melancholy. Even the most upbeat song had a background drone of sadness.

I listened to this while working out. I am sure I would have been more open and attentive to it otherwise. However as is on this listen, nothing grabbed me.
