Catch A Fire by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Nov 15 2023

Some great songs. Not Marley’s best work. 3/5

If You Can Believe Your Eyes & Ears by The Mamas & The Papas
Nov 18 2023

Super derivative of beach boys and other pop sensations of the time. Their songwriting is not nearly on the same on this album. I thought a lot of the songs hit a level of irritating as it’s trying to be sweet. California dreaming is good and a classic. 1.5/5

Green River by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Nov 28 2023
Dec 29 2023

Really fun Big beat album. The soul and funk samples mixed with the most insane transitions makes every song danceable. The beats while standard for it's genre are also really well done. I don't like Kalifornia. 4.5/5

Closer by Joy Division
Dec 30 2023

Very despondent album. I appreciate the melancholic post punk instrumentals as well as the lyrics. However, I think the vocals and choruses sound at times more annoying than raw. Sounds like the album would take place in a haunted house. 3.5/5

Arc Of A Diver by Steve Winwood
Dec 31 2023

Corny but sweet. Can't see myself going back to the whole album as most of the songs are pretty similar. That being said I will go back to "While you see a chance" because that song is great. 2.5/5

Transformer by Lou Reed
Jan 04 2024

Amazing laid back vocals from Lou reed paired with distorted and garage guitars make for a fantastic glam rock record. Lou reed also has great ballads like perfect day which is one of my favourite songs of all time. 4/5

Getz/Gilberto by Stan Getz
Jan 05 2024

Saxophone is good but the performances aren’t all that stand-out. 3/5

Master Of Puppets by Metallica
Jan 06 2024

I appreciate how important this album is. However I find myself unable to get into the endless thrashing. Still some incredible and iconic performances. 3/5

The Doors by The Doors
Jan 09 2024

Classic and influential album on the psychedelic L.A scene. Strikingly simple yet effective use of keyboard to create an album with its own dark sound that was rarely matched in the psychedelic era of the 60s and 70s. Amazing songwriting as well closed off with one of the most dystopia song I’ve listened to with “The End”. 4.5/5

Funeral by Arcade Fire
Jan 29 2024
Time Out by The Dave Brubeck Quartet
Jan 30 2024

3/5

Jan 31 2024

Classic Bob Dylan and influential for being his first foray into electric sounds. However, just not that many stand out songs compared to highway 61 revisited that would follow less than a year after. Still a good listen. 3.5/5

Hot Rats by Frank Zappa

3 + 3 by The Isley Brothers

Really fun record 4/5

Green River by Creedence Clearwater Revival

Screamadelica by Primal Scream
Feb 28 2024

I love the blend of the dancier grooves, psychedelic guitars and gospel vocals. It makes for an interesting pallet I haven’t heard before. I think while some of the songs haven’t aged as gracefully as others I can see the influence this had on the 90s house scene as well as indie. Super fun record I think it will get better the more I listen. 4/5

Heroes to Zeros by The Beta Band
Mar 01 2024

Terrible album cover and band name. The music itself, hard to define and interesting. They found this pocket of unique sound, however don’t know if it’s being used to it’s full potential. 2.5/5

Paranoid by Black Sabbath
Mar 02 2024

4.5/5

The College Dropout by Kanye West
Mar 15 2024

One of the greatest rap albums in of all time. Profoundly fun yet moving couldn’t ask for better and Kanye’s catalog later in could not top this one.
