There's a reason why this band has some of the biggest hits of the 1980s. I've never listened to the whole album. While I feel the songs run a bit long, the production is A+. Shout will live forever.
I'm obviously not this albums intended demographic being a middle aged white woman. I can't connect with this being 30 years removed from it's time period. I really only liked Louder Than a Bomb. I can appreciate how this influenced other artists in the genre. At the end of the day, it's just not something I enjoy. Flava Flav really adds nothing to this. Yeah boi.
The classic southern rock album. If you've never tried the genre before this is a good place to start. Fortunate Son and of course Free Bird are amazing. The album is solid over all.
If you haven't heard at least half the songs on this album you've been living under a rock. THE grunge album. This was the gateway to a whole new type of music, culture and style. On a re listen the music isn't as creative as I remember, but Kurt's lyrics still remain unique and fresh. Always worth a listen.
Solid album from The Boss. Empty Sky was a standout for me, but overall very standard rock and roll. Nothing to get you really excited, but a nice record to put on in the background.

It's a "vibe". I'm not a big fan of spoken word over music so there are a few tracks I didn't enjoy, but overall there's something here. If you like chill hop or click hop and slower tempo electronics you'd probably enjoy this.
Eh. The first track is great, but it's downhill from there. Definitely a band figuring their style out.
This is the first Miles Davis record I've ever listened to and it just blew me away. How did I not know this existed? Jazz, electric, experimental without just being a mess of noise. "In A Silent Way (reprise)" is now one of my favorite songs ever.
I grew up listening to this album. I didn't like it then and I still don't like it now. The only great song is Constant Craving. The rest of the album sounds like "adult light radio". It's standards, elevator music. Which is a shame, because Lang has a gorgeous voice. I hope she did more with it later in her career, but this doesn't inspire me to check out more.
Everyone knows "Ace of Spades" and its still great. Though I must say "Jailbait" is exactly what you think it is. I know that's a song of its time, but it's still gross. An interesting mix of punk and heavy metal.
Never listened to this band before. It's interesting? Some great guitar riffs in this and Siousxie has a great voice. Some of the songs aren't my favorite, but overall I do like this album. Certainly a transition from punk into a more 1980s sound.
It's a vibe? A mood? Not at all what I expected.
It's groovy? It's a "vibe". It made me turn it off halfway through. Too much of the same thing over and over. I suppose if I was stoned this would be awesome.
I'm biased, this is my favorite Beatles album. It's the only one we owned growing up so I listened to it hundreds of times. I still love it. A bunch of great songs on here. Lots of technical innovations that influenced a lot of music to come out of the late 1960s.
Also, Yellow Submarine.
Apparently Patti Smith is like Bob Dylan? More a poet than a singer? This was not my jam. I really really tried, but like Dylan, I just found this boring. Horses was ok. I get why that song has the most plays. Let's just say I wouldn't listen to it again.
So I can see why Tainted Love is the hit song from this album. The rest sounds like the soundtrack to a John Waters movie. It's incredibly camp. Sex Dwarf? Entertain Me? Oh yeah, these guys are trying to be as silly as possible. There are some interesting bits in here. Sometimes Marc's singing is great, other times it's just awful. Really feels like a couple college guys their hands on a nice synth and pressed ALL the buttons. Lol! It's silly, high energy, a little bad. I like it, but you've got to be in the mood for it.
Lovely voice, great guitar. An overall good time.
