Was good background music for walking Winston in the morning.

Still a classic

Big surprise. Didn't want to skip a track.

Lots of classics, but not necessarily an album that I would return to as a whole.

Nothing special about this and wouldn't ever get my attention if I didn't otherwise know it was by Bowie.

Never heard of this or the artist but I enjoyed the album. A nice surprise

I had only really heard the big songs from this album but the whole thing is great. Lots of fun. Engaging musically.

Not exactly my thing, but I also don't dislike it.

I remember some of these being big hits at the time. On the whole it doesn't sound very groundbreaking or unique compared to other similar artists at the time like Fatboy Slim, Moby, Basement Jaxx, etc.

Good. I think I've heard these songs so many times though it was hard to be "wowed" by this album, even though had I been listening for the first time I might have thought it was great.

I've been listening to the song "Spooky" a ton so its nice to explore more of her work. I love her voice.

Sounds a lot more like the Beatles than other Kinks songs I'm familiar with. There's elements like in Shangri-la that sound like the Kinks I enjoy. Other bits sound like bad Beatles imitation.

I revisited Portishead and Massive Attack a few months ago so its great to see this on here. Still great as it was.

Truthfully I skipped through these songs and nothing in there made me think that this album elevated the band above a one hit wonder. Maybe emblematic of the music of that time, but there were probably way more albums that year that had a bigger cultural impact.

Not my thing. Seems very generic electronic music of that time and again I'm totally lost to what makes this album more culturally significant than any other similar album. It sounds no better or worse than any other music that would have been in DDR at the time.
