The UndertonesThis one didn’t do much for me. That little vibrating thing he was trying to do with his voice was dumb and stupid. Undertones? More like Underwhelming.

Fortunately, I WAS high enough to appreciate this album. At least in terms of jazz music. A lot of it felt like I was watching Jackie Brown or some blaxploitation film, but a man can only handle so much jazz at once. If I’m ever in the mood for this genre I’ll just go watch Whiplash or something.
This was an easy listen. Nothing awful, nothing great. It felt like one really long song, then “Yellow”, then another really long song. Will not revisit.
Yk that thing where a song that played constantly on the radio gets so annoying that you can’t listen to it, but years later you randomly hear it and it actually sounds good? Well this is not one of those cases. ‘Rumour Has It’ makes me want to listen to John Coltrane. Fortunately this album ended with its 2 best songs. However, when the only song I truly enjoyed is just a cover of the Cure, then I can confidently say this album is just not for me.
I’m gonna classify this style of music as “Kumbaya Funk”. Alot of juicy bass lines topped with mostly boring acoustic guitar. That last song “Tall in the Saddle” was pretty sick tho. Why wasn’t the whole fucking album like that? I guess we’ll never know.
This was an interesting album. Started off pretty cinematic. Turned into some Megan Trainor-type songs. Overall I dug it, some songs better than others. May revisit.
This album sounds like sample heaven. I bet they have been used in tons of hip hop, including obviously “Slow Ride”. I like the album cover too.
Admittedly not my favorite genre of music, but more enjoyable than I anticipated.
I really enjoyed the first 2 songs. Went downhill from there.
I think they meant to put this album on the “1001 albums that I’d rather hang from the gutter by my nutsack than listen to” list.
I honestly thought there were some amazing parts in the first song (half of the album) but everything else on the album was starting to make me go crazy. It sort of sounded like some of the Frank Zappa music that I don’t quite enjoy. The album cover is fantastic however. (No relation to Emerson)
A lot to take in with this one. Rock Operas are hit or miss for me usually. There’s some really interesting songs on this one. Did he murder his cousin in that one song? Are we just going to ignore that? Anyways, not my favorite Who record but still some cool stuff in there. (2.5)
Nice smooth listen. I’ll probably dip into his catalog more in the not so distant future.
This albums slaps. A top tier hip hop album. “You Are”, although a good song, felt really out of place. That’s the only thing keeping it from 5 stars. (4.5)
It’s jazz.

Compared to the other one we listened to, it had better hits but the filler was boring. (2.5)
I love a good Buddy Holly album. This one slaps.
I recognized a lot of samples from this album. Pretty fun listen overall.
That was a sweet listen actually. I don’t listen to much Willie Nelson but I imagine this is one of his slower albums. I dig. (3.5)
On a good day I prefer this album over Midnight Marauders. One of my unskippable albums and just amazing throughout. S tier shit.
Probably my 2nd favorite to LZ1, but bangers all around. “When the Levee Breaks” is one of my favorite Led songs, so I gotta give it a (4.5).
I have actually been looking for the song “Two Weeks” for a while but didn’t know how to search for it. That song is killer, but the rest of the album is a bit forgettable.
This album reminds me of hanging out with Austin Cook in our room at Padre. Specifically the PlayStation 1 menu that it would go to when you put in a CD instead of a game. And our Digimon blankets. Time warp.
Didn’t enjoy this as much as I was hoping.
Not exactly my favorite Daft Punk album. This one’s probably more suited for people who frequent techno dance clubs. Daft Punk still rocks though.
One of my favorite hip hop albums of the 21st century.
Pretty fun album, not as good as Speaking in Tongues though.
