They were huge in Europe. Stay there
Very cool vibe. Feels like a sunken living room on a leather couch drinking some Johnnie Black. Great musicianship. Cool to explore different genres. Would rate like 3.75 or so
Big sound / great lyrics with a sense of danger in his voice. Always loved nick cave and the aptly named Bad Seeds
Very good album. Great sound and style Has a little UK The edge to it for a middle American band . Great band that shows up on this album. Solid , consistent songs that plays like an album not a bunch of singles mashed together
Solid debut after her child star career . Good songs and a team that met their goal of making her famous backing band really shows on some songs . Still can’t believe she wrote that song for that dopey guy on that show I never watched
Excellent love renditions of these blues classics. He defined much of what mainstream knows of the blues. Great accompanying band and good crowd noise His unique way he bends the strings makes it easy to know it’s BB playing Lucille Can’t get better
Much bigger band in UK than here. Saw them live in London with New Order ..great energy but were blown away in my opinion Nothing stands out with this album to me.
A great album from a solid performer. Hits her stride on this album. One of those performers like John Prine and Steve Earle who are great but never spend enough time listening to them
Haven’t heard it in a while. Wanted to hate it. Like a Broadway play/ Grease III??but lightning in a bottle. Todd Rungren produces an album that sells 40m copies A well packaged effort but maybe too much of a package. Voice is great and musicians are great. Why am I still writing about meatloaf
Coming off as good a run of albums as anyone .. this is a good album with lots of good songs that shows the changing evolution of Elvis. Great songwriter and performer that is completely versatile. Worth a few listens
NOPE
Another Todd Rungren production. At the forefront of punk in NYC with the Ramones Never has the commercial success but truly authentic
Would have loved to see this live. Top musicianship Great blend of all the instruments
Music stuck in that era. Lyrics a little cheesy. Like the guitar and vocals Almost like a parody band of the 60s
Great Live album in every way. Underrated band. Great set list and they played to the audience Loved listening to this. As everyone my age I wore this album out
Th mighty Zep. Powerful album with the band smashing on all cylinders Between II and physical graffiti this is the center point of the Trinity of all that was holy for a young man in the 1970s
Individuals incredible. I don’t think Beck knew what he wanted to do here with this all star lineup Still tip 5 guitar player and Rod one of the best frontmen ever
Bursted on to the scene. Very talented on this album. What happened. No doubt any Saturday afternoon in the village someone is playing this in the west village
Hate to criticize bands that tried But these guys didn’t do it for me. Seemed like they were sprinting to end the songs
Talented women in business and songwriting. But one listen is all o could do. Maybe if o grew up in the mountains
Early on what was to become one of the most influential bands ever. Lou at the center
Classic. Peak Mick Taylor Stones which means peak Stones. The guitar work with Keith and the entire band defines a garage raw rock sound I guess being exiled worked.
Classic Elvis. Never loved him but appreciate the musicianship
Nope
Couldn’t listen
Too light and poppy. Marshmallows and lollipops. Had to stop
A great album that fits into their odd year 70s must listen /purchase set Sometimes gets overlooked surrounded by the heavyweight albums before and after but stands alone as a tribute to Syd and kept the band going despite some fractures. Watching any iteration of Floyd live and feeling the anticipation of the riff at the beginning of “Shine on….” Is something to behold Can’t say enough about it but still in my rotation 50 years later
Great album. The Aerosmith albums produced by Jack Douglas were pure rockers This was the best of them. A front to back play through always growing up. Unfortunately Aerosmith like J Geils and ZzTop got sucked into the MTV video money grab and became very formulaic and lost the raw rocking that the earlier albums had
Nope- I remember they had one song and were on SNL but this is post apocalyptic
Cool Afro groove Very cool music
Nope
I have never felt cooler
Music never was the same. Cohesive big sound Just the appetizer
Nothing stands out. Another alternative Brit band that was popular there and not here
Tom is great whether he’s solo on piano or conjuring up some interesting complimentary sounds Like some of his other stuff better but never disappointed to hear a Tom Waits song
Nothing here for me
Legendary group with great musicians behind them. Good quality songs but hard to maintain there best
They were huge in Europe. Stay there
I liked Arcade Fire. Saw them at Jazz fest Energetic with some chunky guitars.
Thought it was good but not great. Another one of these bands that couldn’t get over the hump
Simple power chords, chunky riffs. A lot of the same but think he’s creative
Nothing good
Origin of electronic music
Be …leaving
Remember listening to this album. The Clash brought so many sounds together. Two great songwriters Attitude - “The Only Band that matters” I remember “Train in Vain” wasn’t on the track list but was on the album. When they came to NY in the early 80s they turned the city upside down More of this please
Car crash
Obviously talented and like the effort to integrate some of the current hits of the day Just not my thing
Being lucky enough to be in college when REM hit with this album They could never categorize them but you always knew a REM song One of the best bands of the 80s and an underrated live act
I remember the release. Showed Neil’s range. From the Harvest like folk to the Crazy Horse riffs In my eyes one of those albums that takes an artist from their roots and creates a “second act” Great memories. Will be seeing him again his year
Bit of a comeback album from the 70s. Nobody had as powerful blues voice then Muddy The harp playing and guitar bring on the electric blues of the 70s that influenced everyone Johnny Winters produced who was another phenomenal underrated player
Exorcist theme. Integral part of the movie. Don’t see listening to this unless someone is spewing pea soup and their head spins around 180 degrees
Exceptional Bowie. Considered a transitional album but full of some of his best work. Station to station is tremendous. TVC15 I remember he played on Saturday NL and still one of my favorite Bowie songs. Golden Years and Stay are awesome songs. I listen to this album a lot and have seen most of these songs performed live STS and TVC15 two of the best live songs Bowie does
I always liked there songs. Good listenable album. I still consider them a new band.
Typical rich kid wants to be a hip hop artist. Found nothing to like here
Liked it a bit. Not a go to. Thought there would be more with the name
From the first time hearing S of Swing it had my interest. Had to find the album and it didn’t disappoint. Great live act. Embraced the video genre and 45 years later still listen to DS and Knopfler solo One of the top guitarists I ever saw. Unique sound
A great album that highlights the unmistakeable talented and influential Pogues. Not a band from Ireland or England through the 80s weren’t influenced by this band and Shane Joe strummer / Bono. And many others. Enough said
