Run-D.M.C.
Run-D.M.C.I know this was a revelation in its time, but it felt so chaotic and overwhelming and yet really simplistic. It was hard to listen to straight through. It kept losing my attention and I hate that, because I love them.

One of my favorite albums!!
Keep On Growing, Bell Bottom Blues, Layla, and Tell the Truth Jam were the highlights for me. Loved listening to it as a sort of album-long duel between Clapton and Allman.
No.
Non-Christmas Christmas music. I don’t hate it.
I mean… I don’t hate it. But I don’t actually like it. I don’t think. Ghetto Soundwave was my favorite. Maybe.
Woot! Steely Dan!
Meh. New York New York was good. The rest was just blah.

❤️
I had to restart this halfway through, not because I loved it, but because I realized I was listening to it wrong. Listening to it as a 46 year old, Little Fury Things started and I thought “oh no, please get better” and it didn’t. I restarted it after I realized Violent Femmes / Nirvana / Candlebox loving 16 year old me would have unabashedly adored this album. Like fling-myself-on-the-bed-with-the-album-on-repeat adored. That said, I’m currently 46 and this was a solid 2. I’m gonna give it one extra star in homage to my teen music tastes.
I wanted to just get up and dance the whole time! I feel like it should be remixed because the vocals were sometimes overpowering, but this was a really fun find!
This is the album that made me a fan
Not my jam, but decent album! It definitely felt like it was riding that line between the “classic” 70s rock and the burgeoning heavy metal scene. I enjoyed it.
This would be nice to sleep to
Really vibey, love the concept. I wish I’d known about this album in 96!
FIVE STARS
This is what would have happened if Ross and Chandler had gotten their big break. Weird, but I enjoyed some of it.
This is kind of album this list is all about. I’d never have listened to it save for this list. There were lovely moments. There moments where I wished they’d get the fuck on already. Loved parts, hated parts. Solid 3. Will never listen to it again, but I’m guac I did.
Meh.
Whackadoodle. Super funny. Very strange. Didn’t love. Didn’t hate. I want a horse.
Even when I don’t love Bowie, I love Bowie.
Phenomenal songwriter, but this was boring.
Really enjoyed this little gem
TRIBE
Perfectly enjoyable, perfectly forgettable.
