I forgot how bluesy Queen could be. I listened to the deluxe version, and there were some live recordings. It was so interesting to hear them next to the studio recorded song. They sounded almost identical.
Meh. It had some of those recognizable overplayed songs. They're a guilty pleasure. I was a huge Young Guns fan, so hearing Wanted Dead or Alive was a treat.
This was wonderful and I am excited I was introduced to this album and artist!
Definitely a fun album.
I thoroughly enjoyed this album. It made me uncomfortable at times, which is good. Definitely one I would like to listen to again.
One of my absolute favorites! Always a joy to listen to!
I love Our House, but the rest of the album didn't interest me much.
Waterfalls was a constant on MTV when I was listening to all the Grunge music. I enjoyed listening to the album and probably appreciate it more now!
I always love The Flaining Lips!
Very much of it’s time. My dad always referenced Jethro Tull when I played flirt in middle school. Not my favorite as I refer The Who and Lead Zeppelin. Aqualung is a classic though!
I hear some Tears for Fears and Men at Work. The album as a whole was ok. I do still enjoy Earn Enough for Is and Dear God. I looked at other songs and realized I know quite a few. I’m happy to be reunited with them but didn’t like most of the songs..
I loved this. I know some Dolly Parton and I fought country music for a long time. It's 90s country that I really don't like. Coat of Many Colors is a classic!
This album I have enjoyed over the years. It’s been a while since I listened to it. I particularly love Norwegian Wood plus some others BUT with a closer listen with different experiences since the last time I listened. Run for your Life is very problematic.
I had some friends who loved the Iron Maiden in middle/high school. While it was not my favorite, I can now appreciate the precision and awesome vocals of Bruce Dickinson.
That was fun! I enjoyed listening to the crazy art pop music that is the early 80s. Definitely not Talking Heads but still fun.
I definitely will listen to this again. I really enjoyed strong female singers.
Not the Randy Newman I’m used to. Same voice and piano playing but definitely not the Toy Story lyrics! 😂 Entertaining but not gonna revisit.
I enjoyed this thoroughly! The rhythms put me into a trance-like state. I was doing some repetitive work; this was the perfect music to relax and do homework for the evening. I will listen to this again and pay more attention to the lyrics. I believe I heard some important lyrics during "Mistake."
Why is this album on this list. I didn't need to listen to this album before I die. I did not lis this at all. I cannot beleive this was their forth album!
I definitely love some Bob Marley & The Wailers! I don't remember listening to one of their albums in one sitting so this was a treat.
I'm not much of a country fan but Johnny Cash is one that I enjoy. The fact he played concerts in prisons is pretty bad ass and quite fitting know what I do about his life!
Meh. I thought I would have liked this as it was during my formative years. I now know why I am not familiar with them.
I do remember a few of these songs and it was a fun listen!
I guess I was really only exposed to the Police's hits. I do enjoy Message in a Bottle and Walking on the Moon. But ooofff the lyrics in On Any Other Day are...horrible! I'm sure I could go and find a, "That's not what they meant" article out there but I'm tired of that sh*t. Also the rest of it was meh.
This was an interesting listen. I'm glad I didn't turn it off with the first bits of synth started in Definitive Gaze. I could hear where some new wave groups would have picked up from them. I was not surprised when Bauhaus started playing right after the final song.
For the most part, the album didn't keep me engaged. I'm happy I waited until the end with all the great jam sessions during the last five songs. That was fun and a great way to spend the deep cleaning I was doing!
I love Radiohead and it brings me back to simpler days.
Who can go from the drug epidemic in black communities to nasty, sexy, funky music followed up with a song about God, topped off by some good ol’ R&B jam sessions? Prince, that’s who! The irony was not lost on me while listening to the first song “Sign ‘O’ the Times” and thinking of his early death due to fentanyl addiction.
Björk. Ehat an art collage sounds like! I iced her since the Sugarcubes and still love her and her solo endeavors.
Ok listen. Not my favorite though.
This...was...horrible. I almost turned it off but thought I would stick it out. There were moments of fantastically horrendous drug-induced hallucinations, but I could have died before listening to it!
Meh. You got Tom Sawyer and Limelight. Other than that not much else.
I love hearing the kids talk about love in between some of the songs. It's not what I usually listen to, but I understand the importance of this album, and I look forward to studying the lyrics and listening again.
Very mellow compared to the albums I was introduced to in the 90s.
One for the easy listening crowd. I’m not that person. It all had the same pace and was boring.
